13 Best Movie Moments Featuring The Beatles Music, From ‘Ferris Bueller’ to ‘Yesterday’ (Photos)

The new movie “Yesterday” imagines what the world would be like if no one had ever heard of The Beatles. You can guess the impact that would have on the world of rock music, but we’d also be without a handful of great movies that found just the right note because they managed to score a movie moment in the way no other song would do. This list however excludes The Beatles movies like “Yellow Submarine,” “A Hard Day’s Night,” “Help!” and even the “Across the Universe” jukebox musical that are loaded with perfect such moments.

The Mutato Muzika Orchestra, did up this lovely, twinkling, instrumental version of “Hey Jude” that captures the miniature, picturesque quality of the prologue to Wes Anderson’s family dysfunction comedy “The Royal Tenenbaums.” But the smaller in scope orchestration doesn’t change the sweeping, inspiring quality of the melody,

Disney Tightens Grip on 2019 Box Office as Other Franchises Struggle

  • The Wrap
With the 2019 box office approaching the halfway point, one thing is clear: It’s Disney’s world right now, and the rest of the film industry is just living in it.

After grossing over $3 billion annually in 2018 — the second time in three years it has done so — Disney entered 2019 with a murderer’s row of franchise titles that has paid off as expected. While the studio still suffered a misstep with “Dumbo,” which grossed only $287 million globally against a $170 million budget, it dominated the theatrical market with just four films: “Captain Marvel,” “Aladdin,” the recently released “Toy Story 4,” and the big one, “Avengers: Endgame.”

All four stand as the highest opening weekends of 2019, with “Toy Story 4” joining the club last weekend with a $120.9 million opening and “Endgame” leading with a record-shattering $357 million start. With $1.88 billion grossed so far this year, Disney accounts for 35% of the $5.31 billion total and

Justin Bieber’s Team Now Trying To Arrange Ufc Fight With Tom Cruise

On June 10th, Justin Bieber posted a tweet challenging Tom Cruise to a fight in the Ufc Octagon, saying: “Tom if you don’t take this fight your scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight?” 14 days later, we still have no idea why Bieber wants to fight Tom Cruise, but it seems that his team are going ahead in trying to set up this truly surreal encounter.

TMZ’s reporting that Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun has been in conference with the co-ceo of the company that owns Ufc, Ari Emanuel, and Ufc President Dana White. The pair seem extremely hyped up for this clash of the titans, too, with Emanuel saying that this “would be an epic fight that needs to happen” and White being “100% down with it.”

Earlier in the week, White also explained that putting this fight on

Tom Cruise And Justin Bieber Ufc Fight Likely To Happen

In an early contender for most bizarre celebrity news story of the year, pop star Justin Bieber recently *checks notes* challenged Tom Cruise to a Ufc-style fight. We kid you not.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you’ve likely seen all the commotion caused by Justin’s initial Tweet, which called out Cruise for reasons unknown, and warned that the Top Gun star “will never live it down” if he refuses Bieber’s challenge. Heck, the Biebs even tagged Dana White in the tweet, who’s current president of the Ufc, and it looks like he’s interested in helping to put together what some are already calling the fight of the century.

At the time of going to press, the 56-year-old Cruise hasn’t officially accepted what Justin’s proposing, but sources close to the actor have said that he’s interested and now,

A Moviegoer’s Epiphany: I’m a Jack Sholder Fan

Tom Jolliffe takes a look at the work of director Jack Sholder – most notably, A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge…

As a movie going aficionado, I watch a lot of films. I have certain favourites, be they actors, directors, composers or writers. I can tell you with assurance that I’m a fan of Steven Spielberg’s work, because on the whole (particularly Golden period) he’s made a huge amount of great work. With stars it’s easier to identify yourself as a fan of course, because a Tom Cruise film for example is quite evidently, a Tom Cruise film.

So what happens then, if like me, you have a massive oversight? What if you go through over 20 years of liking a few films. Maybe in subsequent years you catch up with a couple more films but still don’t join the dots. With a crew

Top Gun: Maverick Planning to Make an Appearance at San Diego Comic-Con

Deadline reports that there is some buzz going around about Top Gun: Maverick making an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con next month. They say sources have told them that some of the cast has already booked hotel rooms. Tom Cruise has not officially confirmed yet, but he is big on promoting his films, and doesn’t shy away from fans and fan events, so it would not be surprising to see him there.

Paramount has made huge appearances at the convention before, previously with the 2016 movie Star Trek: Beyond. It was a huge outdoor screening with an orchestra, the cast and crew, and swag bags for everyone. Some of our crew were in attendance and it was incredible. [It was awesome, and I still wear the t-shirt. —ed.]I don’t think we would get something that big for the Top Gun sequel, only because it’s not due out for another year. But it would be awesome just to

In May, Kidman told Good Morning America her youngest kids would be appearing as extras in the HBO show's sophomore season. At the end of season two, episode two, eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot Sunday and Faith's names in the credits as "school children." That means they share some brief screentime with the likes of Ziggy and Chloe at Otter Bay Elementary School.

"You see them fleetingly in the classroom scenes," Kidman said. "I've always said this, there's something wonderful about bringing your children to work, and them seeing what you do, and them being a part of it, and being interested and curious and feeling like it's theirs as well.

Non-studio sources tell us that cast from the pic are already booking hotels and tickets. Tom Cruise hasn’t been confirmed exactly yet, but it wouldn’t be a shocker if he showed up. He’s very good about event-izing his pics and made a big appearance at Paramount/Skydance’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout CinemaCon session last year. Top Gun: Maverick shot in San Diego last summer, so it’s a pretty special place for all those involved in the Paramount-Skydance production. Today CineEurope attendees in Barcelona were the first to see two minutes of footage from the film, which opens on June 26, 2020. Note things could always change. We heard very early on that Dwayne Johnson’s Fighting With My Family was going to Sundance with him in tow,

Ufc Boss Says Tom Cruise Is Down To Fight Justin Bieber

At this point, who doesn’t want to see Justin Bieber and Tom Cruise trade blows? Indeed, the Internet was sent into a frenzy last week with the prospect of the two A-list celebs squaring off in the ring, with the whole thing becoming so big that it even caught the attention of Ufc champion Conor McGregor, who’s since offered to host the fight.

And though we’re still waiting for an official response from the Top Gun star, Ufc boss Dana White has revealed that Cruise would be down to wrestle with the Biebs. Given that this doesn’t come from the actor himself, we’ll just have to take White’s word for it, but in any case, here’s what he had to say about the fight:

“I’m not going to say any names, but I’m just going to tell you that I got

Tom Cruise Is Down to Fight Justin Bieber Claims Ufc Boss
Tom Cruise is apparently down to take Justin Bieber up on his Ufc fight challenge. Last week, the popstar decided to randomly challenge Cruise to a fight on social media, going as far as to insinuate that the actor is scared if he doesn't accept. The Top Gun star did not publicly respond, but Ufc fighter Conor McGregor did and offered to not only host the event, but also called out Mark Wahlberg to fight too.

Justin Bieber soon backtracked and said he was only kidding, admitting, "I think he would probably whoop my ass," when talking about Tom Cruise. Bieber's initial tweet gathered over 40,000 comments with many agreeing with his estimate of how the fight would go down. Now, the story has received another twist. According to Ufc boss Dana White, Cruise is into the fight idea and willing to do it. Obviously, we're taking White for his word here,
