When Calls the Heart Season 6 Episode 7 Review: Hope Is With the Heart

It will be a blessing when When Calls the Heart Season 6 comes to an end.

After When Calls the Heart Season 6 Episode 7, it's obvious there was so much retooling done after Lori Loughlin's departure that the story suffers as a result.

When a star as big as Bruce Boxleitner drops into town and his appearance gets cut to about five minutes of airtime, you know something doesn't smell right (to use Bill's words).

That's not to say the show isn't worth watching, but the spark was snuffed when Loughlin's Abigail left town.

You can feel the stories were originally built with more in mind, but under the circumstances, well, what can you do?

For the last several episodes, there hasn't been enough substance to carry the show forward.

The Hallmark Channel always programs shows with a sweet and kind bent to them, but there is usually a bit more bite.

Supergirl Visits The Oval Office In New Image From Season 4

With Smallville alumnus Sam Witwer having boarded Supergirl as season 4’s new big bad, Agent Liberty, it’s become more apparent how the coming year will be chock full of political and social allegory. In fact, it’s very much looking like the producers are aiming for the stars with this one because the Maiden of Might is doing more than just writing a letter to her local congressman – she’s paying a visit to the White House!

Actually, this makes a lot of sense, especially when you consider how Bruce Boxleitner, most known for his role in Babylon 5, has been hired to play Vice President Baker. From the sound of it, we’ll be seeing a lot of this guy, so don’t be surprised if he ends up taking the top job by replacing Lynda Carter’s Olivia Marsdin in the Oval Office. And considering how her character is secretly an alien,

Supergirl Season 4 Recasts Brent Spiner’s Major Character

Supergirl season 4 was set to add Star Trek: The Next Generation legend Brent Spiner to its line-up in the important recurring role of the Vice President of the United States. Unfortunately, though, Spiner’s had to step back from the part due to a family issue. And instead of rewriting scripts until the actor may become available again, Supergirl‘s production team has decided to just recast the role completely.

In place of Spiner, they’ve gone for another sci-fi icon from the 1990s. Bruce Boxleitner, most known for his role in Babylon 5, will be stepping into Spiner’s shoes to play Vice President Baker. Presumably, the character description released online a few weeks ago is still relevant, in which case Baker is set to be “adept and politically minded,” and “makes for an unlikely leader, but steps up in a big way when his country needs him most.

Bruce Boxleitner to replace Brent Spiner as Supergirl’s Vice President

A couple weeks ago it was reported that Star Trek: The Next Generation alum Brent Spiner would be joining The CW’s Supergirl as the Vice President of the United States. However, that is no longer the case as Tron and Babylon 5 star Bruce Boxleitner is set to replace Spiner on the upcoming season.

According to TVLine, Spiner had to step down from the role due to family issues that conflicted with production. Boxleitner was then cast in his place as Vice President Baker. VP Baker is described as “adept and politically minded” and “an unlikely leader who will nonetheless step up in a big way when his country needs him”. Former Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter portrayed the President Olivia Marsdin during Supergirl‘s second season, though it is unknown if Carter will return again for the fourth.

'Supergirl's' Brent Spiner Exits as Season 4 Role Recast With Bruce Boxleitner

Supergirl is doing a little reshuffling ahead of season four.

The CW's superhero drama previously announced that Brent Spiner had booked a recurring role in season four, playing the key role of Vice President Baker. However, scheduling issues have forced the Star Trek grad to depart the series in order to attend to a family matter that conflicts with the production dates.

Jeanna Michaels Dead at 62

Actress Jeanna Michaels passed away on May 23 after a brief battle with lymphoma. She was 62.

"My passion for make-believe, my crude theatrical talent, and my friends (imaginary and otherwise) were what started me in productions from Coast to Coast," Michael wrote in her bio on the Compass Players website. She was the founder and Producing Artistic Director. "My father moved us from Manchester, Ct to the San Fernando Valley in California, and my living room productions led to award-winning high school and college productions." I was fortunate to be accepted as a Theater Arts major at UCLA. There, under the tutelage of Michael Gordon, I learned the craft and the business of theater. I was further blessed with other mentors like Stella Adler, Michael Shurtleff, and Ken McMillan. They transitioned me from a shy, gawky teenager to one of the million or so would-be-actors looking for a job—All of whom are talented,

One Tree Hill: Here's Why the Cast is Reuniting

One Tree Hill is not returning.

But the cast is reuniting for a Lifetime movie this Christmas. That's about the closest thing we have to a silver lining after being teased by the cast earlier this week.

Lifetime announced Wednesday that Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Danneel Ackles, and Antwon Tanner were all reuniting for The Christmas Contract.

The TV movie follows Jolie (Burton) as she makes her way home to Louisiana for the first time since she parted ways with Foster.

As fate would have it, Foster is also on his way back to town with a brand new girlfriend, and Jolie's friend, Naomi (Ackles) tells her she should bring back Naomi's brother.
