How Johnny Depp’s Cameo In A Nightmare On Elm Street 6 Came To Be

1984’s A Nightmare on Elm Street famously served as the big screen debut of one Johnny Depp, but one little tidbit you might not be aware of is that the Oscar-nominated actor also returned for a brief cameo in the sixth installment of the slasher series.

You wouldn’t think that the original Elm Street movie left much room for a Glen Lantz comeback, seeing how Depp’s character met a typically gruesome end at the hands of Freddy Krueger. Still, in the realm of nightmares, anything is possible, and so the star – then fresh off the success of Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands – makes a fleeting appearance during a dream sequence in 1991’s Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare.

The moment comes in the dream of Spencer Lewis, played by Breckin Meyer. As Spencer dozes off in front of the TV, a commercial comes on parodying the “This Is

Garfield to Become Part of Nickelodeon

Joseph Baxter Aug 6, 2019

Garfield has become the latest property to join the portfolio of Nickelodeon after an acquisition by Viacom.

Garfield is getting ready to ravenously devour lasagna and malign Mondays as part of Nickelodeon. That’s because Viacom Inc., the channel’s corporate parent, has acquired property owner Paws, Inc., making it officially part of the Nick stable.

The announced acquisition of the Garfield intellectual property and its placement with Nickelodeon is part of its ongoing – and self-confessed – strategy to maintain its status as “the home for the biggest franchises kids and families love.” Indeed, the famous feline will join kid’s show icons like SpongeBob SquarePants (a property set for expansion with a spinoff and another movie), Paw Patrol, upcoming revival Blue’s Clues and You! and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (a property acquired in similar grandiosity back in October 2009). Additionally, it will join an all-new animated Star Trek series.

Macaulay Culkin as Joker in The Batman? Some Fans Really Want It

Macaulay Culkin as Joker in The Batman? Some Fans Really Want It
Rumors are beginning to circulate about Macaulay Culkin portraying the Joker in The Batman, and many fans are actually responding positively to the idea. There have not been any official reports to suggest Culkin has been cast or is even in contention for the part, but the rumor definitely has people talking. To be honest, Culkin's name probably isn't the first to come to mind for most people when fan casting the Clown Prince of Crime, but it's not all that difficult to imagine. To see what it might be like, artist Bryan Zap took to Instagram to post an image of Culkin in that distinct Joker makeup, and it shows it's really not as crazy as it may at first sound.

Of course, we all know Macaulay Culkin best for his run as a child star in the '90s. He famously appeared as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone

Seth Green Makes A Promising Filmmaking Debut With “Changeland”

It’s always nice to see an actor showcase their writing and directing chops. Moreover, when the work they turn in the first time out is unlike anything they’ve done before, that’s all the more exciting. In the case of Seth Green, his broad comedy background would lead you to assume that his first outing behind the camera would be a raunchy laugh riot. While Changeland, out this week, is a comedy, it’s far lower key and resembles something closer to Garden State than Family Guy or Robot Chicken. Green definitely has some filmmaking chops, crafting a pleasant and lightly moving picture here. The movie is a comedy about dealing with pain and finding yourself. Brandon (Green) has invited his childhood best friend Dan (Breckin Meyer) on a trip to Thailand. It’s not meant for him, however. Brandon had prepaid for this vacation as an anniversary gift to his wife.

Changeland Trailer: Macaulay Culkin & Seth Green Party in Thailand

Changeland Trailer: Macaulay Culkin & Seth Green Party in Thailand
Macauley Culkin has dusted off his bunny ears for Seth Green's upcoming Changeland. The actor is making a rare big screen appearance to support his old friend's directorial debut and seems to be promoting his Bunny Ears productions at the same time. In addition to directing the movie, Green also stars alongside Breckin Meyer, as their two characters travel to Thailand to get some perspective. Culkin's character is there and is living his life the way he wants to, which seems very appealing, and much like the actor's real life.

Seth Green and Macaulay Culkin previously starred in Party Monster together, but this is a completely different story. Changeland is about a man who discovers that his wife has been cheating on him on his first wedding anniversary. It's at this time he decides to take a planned vacation with his best, though estranged, friend played by Breckin Meyer.

Seven Films Receive Finance Through Thailand Incentives Scheme

  • Variety
Seven international films have benefited from $2.14 million (THB68 million) in cash rebates since Thailand launched a production incentive program at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016.

Administered by the Thailand Film Office, the incentives provide 15% to 20% repayment of qualifying local spend.

At an event in Cannes on Friday, the Tfo said that the scheme is functioning well and that the Thai production industry is on course for a record year. In the first quarter of 2019, Thailand has already been used as a location for 28 feature films, with an aggregate local spend of more than $40 million.

“While producers are benefiting from the incentives, Thailand is also benefiting from the arrival of film and television productions. From the crews and facility companies, right through to hotels, domestic transport and the hospitality industry, the revenue earned through servicing international productions benefits many,” said Anan Wongbenjarat, deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism & Sport.

At this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards, Linsey Godfrey looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet, and she was happy to show off her gorgeous dress and handsome beau Breckin Meyer in various photos on Instagram.
