She will play a new character that replaces the one previously played by Moon Bloodgood who had been cast as a series regular on the show but exited after four of the eight Season 1 episodes were filmed.

As part of the recasting, the role of Poppy’s right hand was reconceived. Lanasa will play Noa Havilland, Poppy’s (Spencer) producing partner. Bloodgood played Cath Min, Poppy’s (Spencer) best friend; that character is no longer part of the story.

Dynasty's 'Real' Cristal Flores Makes Her Debut in Official Season 2 Poster

You won’t have to wait until October for your first glimpse at Dynasty‘s new Cristal: The CW on Wednesday unveiled its drama’s official Season 2 poster, which includes Ana-Brenda Contreras as the “realâ€. version of the character.

As you’ll recall, Dynasty‘s first season ended on a cliffhanger, with Cristal — played at the time by Nathalie Kelley — getting shot in the stomach and trapped in a fire. In June, Kelley spoiled her character’s ultimate demise by revealing she wouldn’t be returning to film any Season 2 scenes.

“Is it a coma? Is it death?… I actually don’t know,

‘Dynasty’ Surprise: Ana Brenda Contreras Joins the CW Series As “Real Cristal” – TCA
Dynasty fans were shocked when earlier this summer one of the stars of the reboot, Nathalie Kelley, who plays Cristal, announced that she will not be returning for Season 2.

It turns out that he exit was part of a soapy plot twist. At the CW executive session, it was announced that telenovela Ana Brenda Contreras is joining the show in Season 2 as a new character, revealed to be the real Cristal Flores.

Cristal, Alexis or Michael’s fates were left up in the air in the Season 1 finale cliffhanger, which ended with the three still trapped in a fire after Cristal also had been shot.

“We were a little surprised she spoiled the surprise,” the CW president Mark Pedowitz said of Kelley’s comments, noting that “we have plans for other characters too. (Showrunner) Sallie (Patrick) has fun twist and turns in store.”

Asked for the reason for the switch Pedowitz said,

‘Dynasty’: Lead Cast Member Not Returning For Season 2 Of the CW Series

  • Deadline
There will be a different dynamic on the CW’s Dynasty next season. One of the stars of the reboot, Nathalie Kelley, who plays Cristal, has confirmed in an E! interview that she will not be returning for Season 2.

The development is not entirely shocking — Cristal, Alexis or Michael’s fates were left up in the air in the Season 1 finale cliffhanger, which ended with the three still trapped in a fire after Cristal also had been shot.

Still, Kelley’s exit changes the original setup of the reboot, in which the story of the feud between the Carringtons and the Colbys was to be told primarily through the perspectives of two women at odds: Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies), daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington (Grant Show), and her soon-to-be stepmother, Cristal (Kelley), a Hispanic woman marrying into this Wasp family and America’s most powerful class.

Cristal was a version

Season 2 of the CW sudser will not feature one of its major cast members, it was revealed during an interview with E! Online.

“I haven’t read anything for Season 2,” Nathalie Kelley, who plays/played Cristal, told E! “I know that I end up with a gunshot wound and in a fire at the end of Season 1, and I know that I won’t be filming Season 2.”

Like, not filming at all? Not even as, maybe, a lookalike named Rita…?

“I won’t be returning for Season 2,” the Peruvian-born Australian actress reiterated.
