Maroun Bagdadi was born on January 21, 1950 in Beirut, Lebanon. He was a director and writer, known for Out of Life (1991), L'homme voilé (1987) and Les petites guerres (1982). He died on December 10, 1993 in Beirut.

Fell to death in an elevator shaft.
Lebanese director who studied film in Paris and became a French citizen. He came to prominence for films which vividly depict the civil war in his country. He won a Jury Prize at the 1991 Cannes International Film Festival for "Out of Life".
