Trailer For The Action Film Rogue Warfare - "When Global Threats Rise Up, One Team Will Answer The Call"

Saban Films has released the first trailer for an upcoming action thriller called Rogue Warfare. The film comes with the tagline, “when global threats rise up, one team answer the call” and that team is not the Avengers.

The movie follows “a group of skilled military elite from the U.S., Russia, UK, China and France join forces to fight an elite underground terrorist network.” It looks like a solid film worth checking out, but I enjoy movies like this.

Rogue Warfare comes from made stuntman/filmmaker Mike Gunther and this is supposed to be the first in a trilogy of films. The movie stars Will Yun Lee, Jermaine Love, Rory Markham, Bertrand-Xavier Corbi, Katie Keene, Fernando Chien, Gina Decesare, Michael Blalock, Mike McKee, Essam Ferris, with Chris Mulkey and Stephen Lang.

Rogue Warfare will be released on October 4th.

First Trailer for Action Movie 'Rogue Warfare' Featuring Stephen Lang

"We don't know what we're walking into!" Saban Films has debuted an official trailer for an action movie titled Rogue Warfare, made by stuntman / filmmaker Mike Gunther. This is supposedly part of a trilogy of movies called the Rogue Warfare trilogy, but seems to be just a solo offering so far. The synopsis is rather vague - it only states that Rogue Warfare is about a group of skilled military elite who join forces to fight an underground terrorist network. This stars Will Yun Lee, Jermaine Love, Rory Markham, Bertrand-Xavier Corbi, Katie Keene, Fernando Chien, Gina Decesare, Michael Blalock, Mike McKee, Essam Ferris, with Chris Mulkey and Stephen Lang. This really looks like one big action extravaganza with literally no plot, since these kind of jingoistic movies only really need guns and explosions, and no plot. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Mike Gunther's Rogue Warfare, from Saban's YouTube

The Lrm Interview: Director Gavin O’Connor on the Action-Thriller, The Accountant

Filmmaker Gavin O’Connor has had a lot of ups and downs in his career, at least in terms of his films getting a proper release, but he’s still managed to establish himself as a director that actors want to work with, whether it’s Edward Norton and Colin Farrell for his crime drama Pride & Glory or Natalie Portman in the Western Jane Got a Gun. Probably O’Connor’s strongest genre to date though has been his popular sports films, Miracle and Warrior, which go into the world of Olympic hockey and mixed martial arts, respectively.

O’Connor’s latest movie The Accountant is an action-thriller starring Ben Affleck as Christian Wolff, known in the criminal circuit as “The Accountant,” not just for the mathematical skills he’s able to use for laundering money, but also for the efficiency with which he takes down the targets he’s hired to eliminate.

Outcast Blu-ray Review

Despite Nicolas Cage’s questionable accent and the familiarity of the plot, Outcast manages to be an entertaining film for fans of the action adventure genre. The film has decent battle sequences and a pace fast enough for the audience not to notice some of its shortcomings. It also has some comical moments thanks to Cage’s gonzo performance as “The White Ghost.” Directed by Nick Powell from a screenplay by James Dormer, Outcast sees Cage joined by Hayden Christensen, Andy On, Yifei Liu, Fernando Chien and Anoja Dias Bolt. The film kicks off during the Crusades of the 12th Century where the audience […]

'Outcast' Trailer: Nicolas Cage Is the White Ghost

'Outcast' Trailer: Nicolas Cage Is the White Ghost
"Your brother is a great warrior, but you will be king!" When treachery becomes tyranny, outlaws will become heroes. Nicolas Cage and Hayden Christensen defy the past, defend the future and become damned in the process as they set off on a great quest to rescue a land and its people. The new trailer for Outcast is here, and there are just no words for what it contains within.

Outcast begins when the heir of the Imperial throne becomes the target of assassination by his despised older brother. The young prince's only hope is the protection of his sister, and the reluctant aid of war-weary Crusader, Arken (Hayden Christensen),who must overcome his own personal demons and rally the assistance of the legendary Crusader-turned-bandit, Gallain (Nicolas Cage), to return the prince to his rightful place on the throne.

Nicolas Cage Attempts British Accent in Outcast Trailer; Hayden Christensen Co-Stars

In Nicolas Cage's long, glorious, and bizarre filmography, Outcast could be more than a minor curiosity.  The directorial debut of Nick Powell (stunt coordinator on Resident Evil: Retribution), Outcast takes place during the Crusades, and Cage plays Gallain, a rebellious outlaw who teams up with Arken (Hayden Christensen, who, to my surprise, is still in the acting business), a young man looking for redemption by protecting the rightful heir to the Chinese throne.  If you needed more proof of China's growing power in the global film market, look to Outcast.  First Cage; tomorrow: The World.  But in the meantime, they only have Cage, or, more specifically, Cage trying to do a British accent, which is about as wonderful as you'd expect. Hit the jump to check out the Outcast trailer.  The film will be released on February 27, 2015, and also stars Yifei Liu, Fernando Chien, Andy On, and Byron Lawson.

Producer Jeremy Bolt Announces Fall 2014 Release for Outcast Starring Nicolas Cage; Already Planning Outcast 2

There is just one article in the Collider archives on Outcast. The casting announcement revealed Nicolas Cage and Hayden Christensen play two 12th century European crusaders who travel to China to find redemption. Producer Jeremy Bolt (Pompeii) has bigger plans for the feature than we anticipated. You see, Outcast is a co-production with China's Yunnan Film Group, and China is an increasingly important international market. Bolt is confident enough in the property to promise Outcast 2: "Outcast has been acclaimed by buyers, and we are determined to make a sequel." Backing up, Bolt also announced the Outcast release schedule [via Variety]: “We are planning a worldwide release, including the Us and China, in September and October this year." Outcast is the directorial debut of stunt coordinator Nick Powell (Resident Evil: Retribution). It sounds like the perfect Nicolas Cage vehicle at this stage in his career. Blu-ray Review: ‘Warrior’ – Packed with Special Features and A lot of Heart, One of 2011′s Best

Many people may call Warrior a modern day Rocky. It’s not. The brilliance of Gavin O’Connor’s Mma drama is that it is a multi-layered story, dealing with the breakdown of family relationships. The story is about the turmoil between two brothers, Brendan (Joel Edgerton, upcoming The Great Gatsby) and Tommy (Tom Hardy, upcoming The Dark Knight Rises) and their relationship with their father Paddy (Nick Nolte, HBO’s Luck). The Mma is just the vehicle that pushes their tense relationship forward. Having said that, the Mma battles are just as brutal as any Mma match you’ve seen before. The creative team employed some of the best Mma trainers and athletes to deliver the truest Mma experience on the big screen. The Blu-ray release is just as fierce as the movie. O’Connor didn’t skimp out on giving viewers special features. Not only can the standalone

The new movie “Warrior” is ridiculous. What I mean is, “Warrior” is that rare combination of feel-good movie fused with that down-and-dirty blood sport, Mma fighting, that one doesn’t find all that often in film – and pulls it off with an incredible level of beauty and grace. Last night, at the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles, stars Joel Edgerton and Tom Hardy decided to 86 the

New Warrior Music Video Showcases Talent

Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton star in Warrior, a movie by Gavin O'Connor getting strong reviews from critics and viewers alike. So far, on Rottentomatoes the film holds an 88% positive score, and why not? The film looks impressive and although people will compare it to Paramount Pictures' The Fighter as it involves two brothers struggling along, it shouldn't be. It should be seen as a different animal, showcasing talents of two upcoming stars and the strengths of veteran Nick Nolte. Also in the cast are Jennifer Morrison, Frank Grillo, Denzel Whitaker, Bryan Callen, Kevin Dunn, Maximiliano Hernandez, Sam Sheridan, Fernando Funan Chien and Jake McLaughlin. Gavin O'Connor, Anthony Tambakis and Cliff Dorfman wrote the script, from the story by Dorfman and O'Connor.
