Deddie Davies was born on March 2, 1938 in Bridgend, Wales as Gillian Nancy Davies. She was an actress, known for Pride (2014), The Railway Children (1970) and Vanity Fair (1967). She was married to Paddy Ward. She died on December 21, 2016 in the UK.

She is a member of The Zimmers, a group of old-age pensioners who took the UK by storm in May 2007 with their rendition of The Who's "My Generation" which publicises the fate of the elderly who are consigned to unstimulating lives in old people's homes.
According to the audio commentary on the "Chance in a Million" DVD Box-Set, her nickname "Deddie" was given to her in the theatre because of her "dedication" to her roles.
