Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman are Truly Stylish at Big Little Lies Premiere
We mustn’t tell Big Little Lies: Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon are leading ladies with serious style.

The costars brought their fashion A-game to the Los Angeles premiere of their HBO miniseries on Tuesday evening.

Kidman, 49, was all about romantic ruffles as she opted for floral patterned gown from Altuzarra’s Spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection. The star, who was accompanied by husband Keith Urban, accessorized her look with bracelets and rings from Fred Leighton and an Omega watch.

Witherspoon, 40, shined bright thanks to her extravagantly detailed Elie Saab ensemble. Her long-sleeved mini dress featured lace panels near the shoulders

Based on Liane Moriarty's best-selling 2014 novel of the same name, Big Little Lies centers on a group of women -- all in different stages of motherhood -- in Monterey, California, whose seemingly perfect lives begin to unravel to the point of murder.

Witherspoon and Kidman play two of the women, Madeline Mackenzie and Celeste Wright, respectively, and also serve as executive producers on the seven-part miniseries. Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, Alexander Skarsgard and Adam Scott also star.

Related2016 Renewal Scorecard: What’s Coming Back? What’s Getting Cancelled? What’s on the Bubble?

This episode relied heavily on your investment in the Hook-and-Liam of it all, but if you allowed the show some latitude, I think there was plenty of narrative payoff.

For one, we learned in flashback how Killian’s penchant for drink sank the brothers’ first stab at joining the Royal Navy.

17 Action Figures/Cartoons From The 1980s That Could Be Awesome Movies

Hollywood always seems to be looking for the next big lucrative film franchise. Studios have looked at several existing properties in hopes of finding their big meal ticket, and some of those properties include classic action figure toy lines and cartoon series from the 1980s. We’ve already seen films for G.I. Joe, Transformers, He-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and a few others, but there are a helluva lot more out there that would make for some great movies!

I’ve put together a list of several different action figure and cartoon properties that I would love to see adapted for the big screen. Most of the properties on this list are ones I loved as a kid, and it would be so cool to see them brought to life in a way we've never seen before. I briefly talk about each franchise on the list and give a

Only Lovers Left Alive (2013)

Directed by: Jim Jarmusch

Cast: Tom Hiddleston (Adam), Tilda Swinton (Eve), Mia Wasikowska (Ava), John Hurt (Christopher Marlowe), Anton Yelchin (Ian), Jeffrey Wright (Dr. Watson)

I’ve written on more than one occasion how many subsets there are of zombie films. In most cases, you know what you are going to get. Straight up purist zombie films, contagion zombie films, zom coms, and even zom rom coms (That’s zombie romantic comedy. I don’t know if it’s fully made it into the horror lexicon yet, so I felt that I needed to elaborate) The vampire film has its own unique evolution, and exactly what any vampire film is about is much more difficult to decipher. It could be anything from gothic period pieces, showdowns between a Van Helsing protagonist and a Dracula antagonist,

Alicia Vikander Officially Set For Bourne 5, Not In Assassin’s Creed

An earlier version of this story incorrectly reported that Vikander was Danish, not Swedish. The post has been updated to reflect the change.

Universal’s fifth Bourne installment is casting up, with Matt Damon set to reprise the role of amnesiac CIA assassin Jason Bourne in a new entry again directed by Paul Greengrass (who helmed the first three Bourne pics). Additionally, Julia Stiles has been recruited to again play Bourne’s ally Nicky Parsons. Now, it’s been officially confirmed by Deadline that Ex Machina breakout Alicia Vikander, previously in talks for a key role, has signed on for the tentpole.

The site simultaneously reports that the Swedish actress, who has been courted by just about every major studio in the wake of her star-making performance as A.I. Ava in Alex Garland’s sci-fi hit, will not be appearing in the Assassin’s Creed adaptation alongside Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.

Alicia Vikander Snags Lead In Dave Eggers Adaptation The Circle

Ex Machina finally landed the ferociously talented Alicia Vikander a well-deserved spot on the New A-List, but the actress isn’t resting on her laurels. With six films opening in the next nine months, we’re going to be seeing a lot of Vikander on the big screen, and she just secured another buzzy role – in James Ponsoldt’s adaptation of The Circle.

Based on the novel by Dave Eggers, the story focuses on a college grad (Vikander) who gets a job at a powerful tech company simply known as The Circle. Tom Hanks is circling (sorry, couldn’t resist) the role of a mysterious colleague, who opens her eyes to a more sinister side to the company.

Hanks became attached last year, but the project is heating up with Vikander and Ponsoldt’s involvement. The director, who broke out with The Spectacular Now, is

Only Lovers Left Alive: A Vampire Flick That Isn’t About Vampires

  • Boomtron
In 2013/2014 the world was introduced to Only Lovers Left Alive, a film written and directed by Jim Jarmusch. It stars Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton as the titular lovers. It first premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival before it opened in the United States on April 11, 2014. Since its release, the film world is a better place.

Only Lovers Left Alive is a vampire love story that does not spend the entire film focused on the fact that the two many characters are vampires. They don’t spend their time feasting on homeless locals or drunken clubbers. Very little time is devoted to explaining the rituals of their lives as vampires. If it weren’t for the fact that Swinton and Hiddleston drink blood occasionally for the first half of the film (out of classy cocktail glasses) we would hardly realize their true nature.

Instead the film focuses on the two souls that are these characters,

Harvey Weinstein has an Oscar prediction for you
Since establishing The Weinstein Company from the ashes of his Miramax brand in 2005, Harvey Weinstein has continued to use the awards season to the benefit of his film releases. It was bumpy going at first with failed attempts like "Bobby" and "The Great Debaters," but with 2008's "The Reader," things finally started to pick back up. Eight Best Picture nominations and two back-to-back wins later, he's out in front with another project right in his wheelhouse: "The Imitation Game." The Alan Turing biopic, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley, landed eight Oscar nominations in January and has grossed $134 million worldwide. And it's adding theaters still, using the fuel of the circuit to stoke the fire at the box office. Meanwhile, Weinstein has turned up the heat on the campaign surrounding the film, calling for recognition of issues inherent in the material, as he's done with everything from "Silver Linings Playbook
