Henry Diltz was born on September 6, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA as Henry Stanford Diltz. He is known for his work on Last Summer (1969), Doctor Duck's Super Secret All-Purpose Sauce (1986) and The Monkees (1966). He was previously married to Elizabeth Sherry Grant.

After stints with several folk singing groups, became eminent photographer of rock performers.
Was in a near fatal glider crash with Jimmy Webb on February 6, 1971.
Missing 2 front teeth as result of a motorcycle accident.
Currently living in Valley Village, California [2005]
While a member of the Modern Folk Quartet, Diltz became interested in photography. He photographed many other musicians and did many album covers such as Morrison Motel (The Doors), Sweet Baby James (James Taylor) and Crosby, Stills & Nash (self titled album).
