Rachel McAdams Reuniting with Wedding Crashers Director David Dobkin and Co-Star Will Ferrell for Eurovision

Rachel McAdams is currently in talks to jump on board Netflix’s comedy Eurovision. The comedy was written by Will Ferrell, who will also star, and will be directed by David Dobkin, who directed both McAdams and Ferrell in Wedding Crashers.

The comedy is based on “The Eurovision Song Contest, the longest-running annual international TV song competition. The contest is famous around the world with former winners including Abba (won in 1974 for Sweden) and Celine Dion (won in 1988 for Switzerland) who went on to have iconic careers. The contest started in 1956 with seven West European nations participating. The 63rd edition of the competition had 43 countries competing for top prize. At the finale in Lisbon last year, Israel was named the winner with the song ‘Toy,’ performed by Netta.”

Will Ferrell and Adam McKay End Partnership After Holmes and Watson Bombs

Will Ferrell and Adam McKay End Partnership After Holmes and Watson Bombs
Holmes & Watson was an outright bomb that had audiences walking out in the middle of the movie. Sure, it was awful, but who could have predicted that it would end the longtime working relationship between the movie's star Will Ferrell and its producer Adam McKay?

Having first met in 1995 on the set of Saturday Night Live, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay have enjoyed a long partnership on quite a few movies and TV shows, some of them deemed outright classics. So Holmes and Watson is a sour note to end the legacy on. But the pair have mutually decided to disband their production company Gary Sanchez and its female-centric offshoot Gloria Sanchez.

The dubious duo will now branch out and go their own separate ways, but they remain close friends and there are no hard feelings. Gary Sanchez has enjoyed a 13 year history that includes such comedy hits as Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,

Longtime Partners Will Ferrell, Adam McKay To Go Their Separate Ways
Exclusive: Will Ferrell and Adam McKay have mutually decided to branch out separately and refocus their creative efforts. This will wind down one of the longest creative partner relationships in town. The duo met when they were hired the same day on Saturday Night Live in 1995, and 13 years ago they formed with Chris Henchy the multi-platform comedy generating production company Gary Sanchez, later branching into a female-centric offshoot, Gloria Sanchez. They also teamed on a bunch of comedy classic hit movies, including Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Step Brothers and The Other Guys. McKay directed those films and Ferrell starred in them.

I’m told they remain close friends, but it is expected that their Paramount-based production labels will wind down over time. They will continue to see through their existing projects to completion and develop them with the attached producers. They will work together on their extensive slate of shared projects,

It is a contest that began in Switzerland in 1956, when seven West European nations participated. Abba (winner in 1974 for Sweden) and Céline Dion (winner in 1988 for Switzerland) are among the former contestants who launched successful worldwide careers after their wins at The Eurovision Song Contest."

We already knew that Ferrell was writing the script alongside Andrew Steele, known for his time as writer and head-writer at SNL and his comedic collaborations with Ferrell in the past, writing the ridiculously hilarious The Spoils of Babylon, The Royal Wedding Live With Cord and Tish!, and the spoof Lifetime movie,

‘Into the Badlands’ & ‘The Son’ To End Runs On AMC, Set Premiere Dates For Final Episodes

  • Deadline
AMC’s martial arts drama Into the Badlands will end after the upcoming final eight episodes of its third season, which will debut March 24. The network also has set an April 24 premiere date for Season 2 of drama The Son, starring Pierce Brosnan, which will be its last.

Neither cancellation is particularly surprising. Both Into the Bandlands and The Son were renewed for Season 3 and Season 2, respectively, almost two years ago. Into the Badlands’ 16-episode third season was completed awhile ago, the cast was released, and a number of them have taken on new acting gigs. As for The Son, as a Western, it did draw respectable viewership though it was old-skewing. Additionally, I hear star Brosnon only had signed a short-term contract which is the case with many movie stars who do TV series these days.

Into the Badlands’ final 8 episodes will kick off on Sunday, March 24 at 10 Pm, following

PGA Milestone Award Honoree Toby Emmerich On How Warner Bros. & New Line ‘Hits ‘Em Where They Ain’t’

  • Deadline
In presenting the Producers Guild of America’s Milestone Award to Warner Bros. Pictures Group Chairman Toby Emmerich tonight, A Star Is Born director and star Bradley Cooper shared his experiences about the studio boss that underscored Emmerich’s innate ability to gamble on raw talent, and win.

Not only did Emmerich take a chance on having a young Cooper cast in Wedding Crashers back in 2005, but the studio boss rolled the dice on the actor again when he asked to make the fourth remake of a movie as a first-time director-writer with a pop singer who hadn’t previously starred in a major studio motion picture.

“He took a huge swing [on me], the same as he trusted [Wedding Crashers director] David Dobkin,” Cooper said tonight.

Even more sublime for Cooper was how Emmerich allowed him to change the ending of A Star Is Born halfway through production “against all logic and mass market research,
