Nick Hamm is a BAFTA award-winning British director and producer whose work extends to feature films, television and theatre.

Hamm spent many years as a resident director with the Royal Shakespeare Company, focusing on both Shakespeare and contemporary playwrights; the latter including, Howard Barker, Edward Bond and Arthur Miller. After winning a BAFTA for his dramatic film based on a Chekhov story starring Edward Fox, Hamm transitioned into film and television.

Hamm's work for British television includes the series "Play On One" for the BBC, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Colin Firth. He later directed the highly acclaimed ITV series "Rik Mayall Presents", starring Helena Bonham Carter. In the US, Hamm was the Showrunner and Director for EOne's dramatic thriller series "Rogue", starring award-winner Thandie Newton, as well as DirecTV/AT&T's highly acclaimed drama series "Full Circle", created by playwright Neil LaBute. Both shows, which are produced by Hamm's US-run production Company, Momentum TV, are in production on their fifth and third seasons, respectively.

Hamm's work in features includes Miramax's historical drama "Talk of Angels", starring Vincent Perez and Polly Walker; Film Four and Miramax's romantic comedy "The Very Thought of You", written by Peter Morgan and starring Joseph Fiennes and Rufus Sewel; Pathé's cult smash, "The Hole" , starring Thora Birch and Keira Knightley; as well as Lionsgate's psychological horror film, "Godsend", starring Robert DeNiro and Rebecca Romijn; and the rock 'n' roll Irish comedy, "Killing Bono", starring Ben Barnes, Robert Sheehan and Pete Postlethwaite for Paramount Pictures.

In 2016, Hamm completed his most recent film with Northern Ireland Screen and IM Global, "The Journey." An official selection for the 73rd Venice Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival, the political drama starring Timothy Spall, Colm Meaney, John Hurt, Toby Stephens and Freddie Highmore, details the events of the 2006 St. Andrews Agreement. "The Journey" premiered in 2017 with IFC Films, earning critical acclaim for its lead performances, specifically Colm Meaney--who would later win an IFTA Best Actor award for his turn as Martin McGuinness.

In fall 2017, Hamm went on to direct "Driven," his second collaboration with writer Colin Bateman (The Journey). Driven tells the story of the relationship between smuggler-turned-FBI informant, Jim Hoffman, and his glamorous neighbor, car mogul John DeLorean during the rise and fall of his 1970's DeLorean Motor Company. The comedy stars Jason Sudeikis, Lee Pace, Corey Stoll and Judy Greer. In fall of 2018, Driven closed the 75th Venice International Film Festival before appearing at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival. The film is awaiting a release in 2019.
