Christopher Guest movies: Greatest 11 films, ranked worst to best, include ‘This Is Spinal Tap,’ ‘Best in Show’
Let’s turn it up to at least 11 and sing the praises of the 5th Baron Haden-Guest, otherwise known as Christopher Guest. This actor and filmmaker is known for being married to actress Jamie Lee Curtis. Then there was his one-season stint (1984-85) on “Saturday Night Live,” where he helped introduce the phrase, “It’s a Minkman.” But his career took off after starring in the 1984 mock rock documentary “This Is Spinal Tap” directed by Rob Reiner. Guest would then turn the satirical genre into his own calling card as a filmmaker while recruiting an ace ensemble of masterful ad-libbers. In honor of his 71st birthday, here are 11 of his greatest films, ranked worst to best.

Here is just a taste of what you’ll find in our photo gallery above (but which one is in the top spot?):

Nathaniel learns that the fun way, gaining more knowledge about romantic comedies along the way,

This was all about his progress, no matter where it may end up from here.

During Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 4 Episode 11, Nathaniel was the sole focus as he tried to deal with his feelings with Rebecca while she has started dating Greg. He ends up going through a romantic comedy daydream, living out his inner dork who has to figure out a way to win the girl.

Through that, he ends up "falling" for Maya who becomes a proxy for the real Rebecca for whom he has feelings.

That is what makes him realize that Rebecca is happy and that is what he wants for her, so he has to let her go.

"I'm Almost Over You," written by the very familiar Michael Hitchcock, was a unique take on

‘Jane The Virgin, ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’, ‘iZombie’ To End After Upcoming Seasons
It’s official. The CW’s comedies Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will end after their upcoming fifth and fourth seasons, respectively. Additionally, the network revealed this season that the upcoming fifth season of comedic drama iZombie also will be its last, making for string of farewells on the CW next season. It will start with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which is on the fall schedule, and continue in midseason with Jane the Virgin and iZombie.

The announcement is not a surprise. Ahead of Jane the Virgin‘s fifth season renewal, star Gina Rodriguez had referred to a then-potential Season 5 as “our final season,” while Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star/co-creator Rachel Bloom tweeted after its pickup, “Just found out that #CrazyExGirlfriend has been renewed for a final season.”

  • Deadline
Actor-producer Michael Hitchcock (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) is set for a recurring role opposite Kristin Chenoweth and Nicholas D’Agosto on the upcoming second season of NBC’s anthology comedy series Trial & Error.

Created by Jeff Astrof and Matt Miller, Trial & Error is a spoof of crime documentaries, which follows a case through trial.

Per NBC’s description, the second season of this outrageous fish-out-of-water comedy centers on bright-eyed New York lawyer Josh Segal (D’Agosto), still relatively a newcomer in a tiny southern town, who is sturdily posed for his next big case there. His mission? To defend the eccentric first lady of East Peck, Lavinia Peck-Foster (Chenoweth), known for her flamboyant outfits, large hats and hairless cat, and who suddenly finds herself accused of the bizarre murder of her beloved husband.”

‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ Review: Game-Changing Finale ‘Nathaniel Is Irrelevant’ Is a Reckoning Three Seasons in the Making

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for the “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” Season 3 finale, “Nathaniel is Irrelevant.”]

“I’m so excited that our love story can begin.” “Josh Chan must be destroyed.”

It’s only fitting that the third season of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” would end with another shocker of a sendoff, courtesy of Rebecca Bunch. The closing to an unofficial trilogy of Rebecca’s journey from workaholic hurricane of obsession to a more self-aware, introspective version of herself is what this season has been building towards from the start. “I plead guilty” is a pretty striking way to close out a true roller-coaster season — in many ways, it feels like the only logical conclusion.

Both in the episode and season overall, it wasn’t necessarily the cleanest road to get there. But what the show leaves behind at Season 3’s end is the biggest change yet for a volatile heroine, and the decision that almost feels like “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” starting over again. That reset button is one

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: a must-see Us sitcom

Catherine Pearson Jan 19, 2017

From the people behind Parks And Recreation, here's why Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the sharpest comedies around...

With Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s much anticipated fourth season finally airing on E4, spare a thought for those who have never experienced the joys of this quick-witted, warm hearted cop comedy series. It’s hard to imagine a world without the Die Hard-loving, authority challenging Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) or his food-loving best friend Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio). Where would we be without the egotistical wisdoms of Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti), the relentless brown nosing and binder collating of Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) and the weapon-wielding human enigma that is Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz)?
