Barry Jones was born on March 6, 1893 in St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands, UK as Barry Cuthbert Jones. He was an actor, known for Brigadoon (1954), Prince Valiant (1954) and Demetrius and the Gladiators (1954). He died on May 1, 1981 in Guernsey.

On stage from 1921, screen from 1932, latterly as a balding character actor. Best known for aristocratic portrayals and as the crazed scientist of Seven Days to Noon (1950). Retired in 1966.
Educated at Elizabeth College, Guernsey. At the tender age of seven, he attempted to join a touring Shakespearean troupe. Got his first job in a steam ship office, then wartime service in 1914 with the Royal Irish fusiliers. Wounded in action in 1916, but remained in military service until 1921.
Life partner of actor and writer Maurice Colbourne. Jones appeared in the title role in Colbourne's play 'Charles the King' at the Lyric Theatre in London in 1936.
