Her father Marius Lov was born in 1878 in Minnesota and later changed the family name to Loff. Although Jeanette often claimed her father was a famous musician from Denmark he actually worked as a barber and a dairy farmer. He played the violin with an orchestra when the family lived in Canada. Marius Loff died in 1961. See more »
