‘Westworld’ Season 3 Trailer Focuses on New Cast Member Aaron Paul
Ahead of the final episode of “Game of Thrones,” HBO released the first trailer for the new season of another flagship show: “Westworld.”

The first look at the third season of the sci-fi show puts the focus on new series regular Aaron Paul, best known for his run on “Breaking Bad.” The trailer doesn’t reveal much in the way of plot, but we do get the first look at the environment and, of course, Paul’s entrance into the series.

It shows him walking across a bridge before coming across Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores, who appears to be in some sort of distress. He asks if she needs any help, but he may come to regret the well-intentioned gesture.

“They said they would make a better world — smooth away the rough edges,” intoned Paul’s voiceover. “But that was a lie. I guess the rough edges are the

‘Westworld’ Season 3 First Trailer: Aaron Paul Takes Control in Radically New Footage — Watch
In case you thought “Game of Thrones” was the only big-budget epic HBO had to offer, the first trailer for “Westworld” Season 3 is here to remind you otherwise. Dropping as the “GoT” finale premiered, the first footage of Season 3 puts new cast member Aaron Paul front and center — and everyone else is missing.

Everyone, that is, except for Evan Rachel Wood. In pain and angry, Dolores emerges from the darkness at the very end of the first spot (below). Before that, Paul’s unnamed new character is seen scouring an advanced, futuristic city (not unlike the one Dolores was seen visiting during Season 2 flashbacks). Sitting on a beam above the urban jungle with a robot, one thing is clear: We’re far from the Old West now.

Keep an eye out for new cast members Lena Waithe, Scott Mescudi, and Marshawn Lynch during the trailer, as well. They appear to

Freeze All Motor Functions: Watch This ‘Westworld’-‘Game of Thrones’ Title Sequence Mashup (Video)
The “Game of Thrones” title sequence is a sacred thing of beauty, as is the “Westworld” intro. So what, if anything, could make these two HBO series’ intros better? Oh, maybe just combining them — which is exactly what a Berlin-based artist has done.

Gilles Augustijnen says he spent eight months of his spare time creating, “Westeros World,” a fake title sequence which pulls from aspects of the openers of both David Benioff and D.B. Weiss’ fantasy epic and Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s sci-fi series.

In the 1-minute, 30-second clip above, whatever you could dream of in the Seven Kingdoms has been “Westworld”-ified, including dragons (and dragon eggs), house sigils, crowns and swords. The Night King himself even shows up as a Host-in-the-making before the “Westeros World” title card flash across the screen.

Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy Ink Giant TV Overall Deal With Amazon Studios

  • Deadline
Amazon Studios has entered the arms race for top TV showrunner talent with a mega overall deal with Westworld creators/executive producers/showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and their company Kilter Films.

No one would comment but I hear the pact, which had been in the works for months, is for five years and is valued in the nine figures, believed to be in the low- to mid-nine-figure range, ranking as one of the richest TV overall deals in the marketplace.

Under the pact, the husband-and-wife duo will work with Amazon Studios to create and produce original series that will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video worldwide. The deal builds upon Nolan and Joy’s existing relationship with Amazon, where they have been developing sci-fi drama series The Peripheral.

Nolan and Joy segue to the deal after separate overall pacts at Warner Bros TV, where Nolan had been based for almost two decades.
