The Loudest Voice: Grade the Premiere of Showtime's Roger Ailes Miniseries
Oscar winner Russell Crowe is nearly unrecognizable in The Loudest Voice, Showtime’s limited series based on the life of the late, disgraced Roger Ailes. The seven-part drama, which premiered Sunday, chronicles Ailes’ career as the founder of conservative news empire Fox News Channel, from his days as a right-wing media juggernaut, to his eventual fall from grace after a series of sexual harassment allegations.

After opening on Ailes’ lifeless body upon his death in 2017, we journey back to 1995, following his departure from CNBC. Ailes had been terminated following a human resources investigation, and we catch up with him as

‘The Loudest Voice’ Trailer: The Toxic Origins of Fox News, as Told By Russell Crowe and Naomi Watts

‘The Loudest Voice’ Trailer: The Toxic Origins of Fox News, as Told By Russell Crowe and Naomi Watts
TV news organizations don’t seem like the healthiest environments in the world. As “The Loudest Voice,” the upcoming limited series from Showtime looks to prove, Fox News was certainly no exception.

Russell Crowe stars in the seven-part series, which follows the rise and reign of Roger Ailes as head of Fox News, bringing it from a fledgling cable network to a gigantic force in modern American politics. This latest look at the series also shows how part of the Ailes legacy is the culture of harassment that existed during his tenure and became one of the biggest topics of conversation during his departure from the network in the summer of 2016.

The Loudest Voice” also includes a number of prominent on- and off-screen figures at Fox News, including Gretchen Carlson (played here by Naomi Watts). A longtime on-air anchor at the network, Carlson’s claims against Ailes were a significant

Showtime Unveils First Look Trailer, Premiere Date For Roger Ailes Miniseries (Watch)
Russell Crowe’s portrayal of the controversial Fox News chief Roger Ailes will be coming to Showtime on Sunday, June 30, the network has announced.

Showtime has also released an unnerving first look trailer for the miniseries, in which Crowe’s Ailes takes over Fox News and starts bending it to his will.

“Here in America, television news is king,” the character says. “We’re gonna give them a vision of the world the way they want it to be…we’re way past politics, it’s war.”

The trailer more than hints at the sexual harassment allegations which brought about Ailes’ downfall, as the character is seen touching Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson, played by Naomi Watts, who looks extremely uncomfortable with his actions.

The series is based on Gabriel Sherman’s bestselling book, “The Loudest Voice in the Room,” and tells the story of Ailes and his rise and fall at Fox News.

The series focuses primarily on the past decade in which Ailes arguably became the Republican Party’s de facto leader, while flashing back to defining events in Ailes’ life, including an initial meeting with Richard Nixon on the set of The Mike Douglas Show that gave birth to Ailes’ political career and the sexual harassment accusations and settlements that brought his Fox News reign to an end. Told through multiple points of view, the limited series aims to shed light on the psychology that drives the political process from the top down.

Palladino is best known for her roles on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire. She recurs on CBS All Access’ mystery thriller drama series $1 and will next be seen in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman. Palladino is repped by Gersh.

‘One Dollar’ Trailer: One Small Town, A Single Bill, Multiple Murders
CBS All Access has dropped the first official trailer for their upcoming drama One Dollar. The series from Craig Zobel is set to premiere on Aug. 30 with new episodes released weekly on Thursdays.

Set in a small rust belt tow in post-recession America, One Dollar is a grimy mystery where one single dollar bill (hence the title) changing hands connects a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder. George Washington’s seen some things. If “One Dollar” is any indication, there’s about to be a few more shocking additions to the list.

At the Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday afternoon, CBS All Access unveiled the first look at the upcoming series, which tracks the handling and use of a single dollar bill as it weaves its way through a murder mystery. As small-town accusations, deals, and reckonings happen in the wake of a multiple homicide, each episode shifts perspective depending on who holds the currency in question.

It’s the first series of its kind from CBS’ streaming service, which has kept its ambitious drama slate to high-end procedurals (“The Good Fight”), sci-fi TV franchise fare (“Star Trek: Discovery”), and off-kilter biopics (“Strange Angel”). This episode-by-episode approach comes courtesy of director Craig Zobel and creator Jason Mosberg. A “Leftovers” and “Westworld” alumnus, Zobel’s last

Named after Nelson Mandela, when people remember him dying in the 80's in prison, but in reality, he died just recently in 2013. Other cases include titles of food brands or famous movie quotes. Most recently a lot of people believed there was the 1990 film with Sinbad called Shazaam but it doesn't really exist. It's so popular that people believe there is something deeper, which is why there will be a film coming out soon about just that.
