Did You Know?
To me, it was just work. You go, you say your horrible lines, you get paid. I am glad I did it though, and it is something fun to talk about if anyone should ask, although I don't normally mention it otherwise. It was a section of my life that was interesting and I was glad I took part in it.
Retired abruptly from acting in the early 1960s to take care of her ailing 15-year-old son, Joe, who tragically broke his neck after diving off a pier and hitting a sandbar. She nursed him for 23 years until his death at the age of 38.
