Chris Evans stars in first trailer for The Red Sea Diving Resort

Ahead of its arrival on Netflix later this month, the streaming service has released a poster and trailer for the upcoming drama The Red Sea Diving Resort. 71st Primetime Emmy Awards Nominations

The nominations for the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Tuesday, officially kicking off this year’s awards season. Actors D;arcy Carden (The Good Place) and Ken Jeong (Crazy Rich Asians) announced the list of award hopefuls.

Former soap opera actors who were recognized included Robin Wright (Santa Barbara), Billy Porter (Another World), Phylicia Rashad (One Life to Live) and Cicely Tyson (Guiding Light).

2019 Emmy nominations forum reactions: Yay for ‘When They See Us’ stars, nay for crushing Eliza Scanlen snub in limited series

The 2019 Emmy nominations have finally been revealed, and Netflix’s “When They See Us” sent shockwaves through our forums after bagging 16 overall bids, including for eight of its actors. Our users were also over the moon about the inclusion of breakthrough performer Joey King for her transformative turn as Gypsy Rose Blanchard on “The Act,” but simultaneously they mourned the crushing snub of another, Eliza Scanlen (“Sharp Objects”). Hulu has dropped the official trailer for its revival of “Veronica Mars,” set to premiere on July 26. The series will bring back most of the original cast, including Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring and Enrico Colantoni. Oprah Winfrey hosts tearful ‘When They See Us’ event with Ava DuVernay and the Exonerated Five at close of Netflix Fysee [Watch]

Netflix closed its Emmy Fysee space on Sunday, June 9, with an emotionally charged screening of Ava DuVernay‘s limited series “When They See Us.” The event, hosted by executive producer Oprah Winfrey, included a Q&a with DuVernay, the cast and producers, followed by a separate interview with the Exonerated Five, whose devastating life stories formed the basis of the show. The discussion, which took place at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, will air in its entirety on Netflix and on Winfrey’s Own Network on June 12. Watch a clip above.

When They See Us” recounts the true story of Antron McCray, Korey Wise, Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana and Yusef Salaam. Forthcoming episodes of “Chernobyl,” “Deadwood: The Movie,” and “When They See Us” remain question marks for users logging their Emmy predictions on Gold Derby, but Luca Giliberti, Zach Laws and I got early access, so we gathered for a slugfest (watch the video above) to offer insights about the four limited series and TV movie acting categories. “Chernobyl” star Jared Harris ranks eighth in Gold Derby’s odds, but all three of us have him in our top-six Best Movie/Limited Actor nomination predictions. I am most confident among our panel and explain, “The finale is what clinches it for him [because] he does get to save everyone.”

The Latest Trailer for Netflix's When They See Us About the Central Park Five

Last month we reported that Netflix is coming out with a four-part series entitled When They See Us, chronicling the story of the Central Park Five, five young teenaged boys of color who were falsely accused of the violent attack and rape of a woman in Central Park, New York in 1989.

The first trailer focused on the trial and conviction of the boys, while this new trailer shows them as men who’ve spent the end of their childhoods and beginning of their adult lives in prison for something they didn’t do, and are now trying to acclimate to life.
