The September 26, 2018 debuting single-camera show follows a group of very different, you guessed it, single parents as they lean on one another to help raise their 7-year-old kids and maintain some kind of personal lives outside of parenthood, sort of.

It kicked off with the group meeting Will (Taran Killam), a thirtysomething guy who’s been so focused on raising his daughter that he’s lost sight of who he is as a man. When the other single parents see just how far down the rabbit hole of PTA, parenting and princesses Will has gone, they band together to get him out in the dating world and make him realize that being a great parent doesn’t mean sacrificing everything about your own identity.

Leighton Meester Is Making Great Comedy Look Easy on ‘Single Parents’

In “Joust!”, the 21st episode of ABC’s freshman sitcom “Single Parents,” Will (Taran Killam) is rushing out of his house when he pauses to crack a joke. “Don’t steal anything,” he tells Angie, played by Leighton Meester. They both laugh — it’s a joke! — but then Will stops again at the door and repeats his request, sans frivolity. “Don’t steal anything,” he says.

“I’m going to steal some shit,” Meester told IndieWire when remembering the scene during a recent interview. “For some reason, that’s become an inside joke — that Angie’s a freaking klepto.”

What matters, though, is that Meester manages to build off that joke in just two seconds of screen time. As Will leaves, Angie turns toward the camera with an annoyed look on her face — as if to say, “How dare he think I’d steal from a friend!” — only to pivot

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester Had a Rare Night Out at the Shazam! Premiere
It was a date night for Leighton Meester and Adam Brody as they attended the premiere of Shazam! in La on Thursday. The notoriously private couple was all smiles as they cuddled up and walked the red carpet together. Adam, who stars in the upcoming superhero comedy, looked dapper in a maroon suit, while Leighton stunned in a long-sleeved red dress and black heels.

The appearance marked their first red carpet together in almost two years when they attended the 2017 InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globes afterparty. The former Gossip Girl and The O.C. stars got married (and made our teen-drama dreams come true) in February 2014 and eventually became parents to a baby girl named Arlo in August 2015. Though the pair usually stays out of the spotlight, we love getting little glimpses of their relationship. See their latest outing ahead!
