Modern television, especially the comedy genre, is often forced to conform to a built-in structure. However, Dan Harmon's hit comedy series about a rag-tag group of friends at Greendale Community College is able to break the rules and step outside of reality without drastically changing the characters or impacting the overreaching narrative.

The series, which became well known for its bizarre high-concept episodes, used holidays such as Christmas and Halloween to its advantage, giving viewers a unique, imaginative and wildly entertaining television experience that refused to conform to a specific style or format. Community: 10 Most Emotional Moments

It's unbelievable how a show that was constantly on the bubble, lived on after a cancelation and went through a lot of turmoil behind the scenes– losing three core characters, and even the creator Dan Harmon for a year– managed to produce such a high number of truly incredible episodes of television. Exclusive: Veteran development executive and producer Peter Johnson has joined Makeready, Brad Weston’s independent studio and financier for film, television and branded content, as head of television.

Johnson, who recently departed Mrc after a two-year stint as President of Television Development, succeeds Scott Nemes who recently left Makeready to join Ucp as Evp Development and Current Programming.

At Mrc, Johnson worked on the company’s upcoming series The Great for Hulu and The Outsider for HBO.

Funny First Clip From Rick & Morty Season 4 Sees Morty Get Tough With an Alien Voiced By Taika Waititi

The first clip from the highly anticipated fourth season of Rick and Morty has dropped, and it’s pretty damn funny. Creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon shared the clip during their big Comic-Con panel yesterday, and it has since been released online for the rest of the fans to enjoy!

In the clip we see Morty with his dad slapping around an alien named Glootie, who is voiced by Taika Waititi. It looks like the alien has helped them launch a successful app, and Jerry and Morty decide that it needs to be taken down. Glootie isn’t very cooperative though, so Morty slaps him around a bit to get what they want.

The clip is just a little tease for the fans to build the excitement of what is coming in the upcoming 10 episodes of Season 4. Enjoy it below!

The first look at Season 4 of Rick and Morty came out. Far out, as fans of the strange series have discovered.

“Ominous Beeping Sound” was unveiled today at Comic-Con, spotlighting the efforts of an alien to thwart efforts to get to the mothership. Spoiler alert: He almost succeeds.

The animated science fiction sitcom was created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim segment. It follows mad scientist Rick and grandson Morty on a series of madcap adventures through time and space. Different versions of the characters inhabit other dimensions and exhibit different characteristics from the main reality. Roiland voices most of the characters.

The fourth season is scheduled to premiere in November 2019 and will consist of ten episodes. Watch the teaser below:

Can we get a “Wubalubadubdub” up in here? During Rick and Morty‘s San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday, the Adult Swim comedy released the first footage from its (painfully) long-awaited fourth season, which is set to premiere in November.

“Rick and Morty” dropped down at Comic-Con to promote its long-in-the-works fourth season and left fans thrilled by debuting the first official clip from the next batch of new episodes. The clip features Morty (co-creator Justin Roiland) and Morty’s father Jerry (Chris Parnell) arguing with a new character, a purple alien creature voiced by Taika Waititi. The “Thor: Raganrok” director is one of several guest actors joining the Adult Swim series in its fourth season. Others include Paul Giamatti, Kathleen Turner, and Sam Neill.

Co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon revealed earlier this week that Waititi was among several famous faces that would be lending their vocals to Season 4, along with Sam Neill, Paul Giamatti and Kathleen Turner.

The Rick and Morty team is pulling back the curtain on the long-awaited season four.

The new season rolls out in November, more than two years after the season three finale aired on Adult Swim. New Rick And Morty Details - Season 4 Will Consist of 10 Episodes and Paul Giamatti and Taika Waititi Guest Star

As you know, Adult Swim renewed Rick and Morty for 70 new episodes. We haven’t seen a new episode of Rick and Morty in over two years, but that’s all going to change when Season 4 launches. After that, the plan is to just keep on rolling out new seasons with no long wait times between them

Well, during an interview with EW, Rick and Morty creator Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland talked about what we can expect from the upcoming season and revealed that Season 4 will consist of 10 episodes. Roiland said:

"This new season will be 10. We’re rolling right into the next batch. The plan has always been to get them out quicker."

So with 10 episodes per season, it’s safe to assume that there will at least be seven new seasons of Rick and Morty greatness to look forward to! Harmon went on to say:

When “Rick and Morty” returns with its long-awaited Season 4 this November, fans won’t just be reuniting with everyone’s favorite mad scientist and his nervous nephew, as the 10-episode installment will feature at least four new recognizable voices.

“We’ve got Paul Giamatti. That’s a hot scoop,” Justin Roiland told Entertainment Weekly in a joint interview with fellow co-creator Dan Harmon, which was published Wednesday. “We got Sam Neill. Taika Waititi does a voice. Kathleen Turner.”

When asked if Neill’s appearance will be “riffing off ‘Event Horizon,’ ‘Jurassic Park,’ or neither,” Roiland said “neither.”
