‘Set It Up’ Stars, Writer Reteam for New Netflix Romcom

If you loved the Netflix romantic comedy Set It Up, there’s more where that came from. The dynamic duo of Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell are reteaming for another romcom at the streaming giant alongside Set It Up writer Katie Silberman, although it’s not a straight Set It Up sequel. Response to the 2018 film was so strong that fans and critics alike clamored for more from Deutch and Powell, who showcased a Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan-like chemistry in the refreshing (and highly rewatchable) romantic comedy. Deutch and Powell liked working together so much that they put …

The Pair From Set It Up Is Starring in a Brand-New Romantic Comedy on Netflix!

Good news, Set It Up fans (aka everyone who's seen Set It Up). Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell are teaming up for a new movie along with the filmmakers behind the popular Netflix romantic comedy, which premiered last June. It's not a sequel to the rom-com - which also stars Lucy Liu and Taye Diggs - but we have no doubt it will deliver on all of our heartwarming-meets-funny needs. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that it's tentatively titled Most Dangerous Game, and it will begin production in early 2020.

"While it was clear that audiences were clamoring for a sequel, we are excited by the thought of creating a new, distinct film that explores different romantic comedy tropes while still being anchored in everything that we loved about the first movie," producer Justin Nappi said. Set It Up writer Katie Silberman, who also wrote Booksmart, will produce the film as well.

Jennifer Connelly Assures Fans That Top Gun: Maverick Will Deliver The Goods

What do Mary Poppins Returns and Top Gun: Maverick have in common – you know, aside from airborne characters and that palpable sense of nostalgia?

Each sequel arrived long, long after its predecessor – precisely 54 years and 120 days lapsed between the release of Mary Poppins and Disney’s recent sequel. And while Maverick falls just short of that immense time gap (it’s arriving 33 years after the fact), many are still feeling a little anxious about Pete Mitchell’s second coming.

Can Paramount really deliver the goods? Is it possible to capture lightning in a bottle twice? These are the kind of questions that were posed to Jennifer Connolly during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight and, frankly, she didn’t think twice before reassuring fans that Top Gun: Maverick is everything we hoped for. And more.

I’m so excited about it! I’m making it, and I go to work and I’m like,

Scream Queens Revival in the Works!

Scream Queens may not be done.

The Fox series was canceled in May 2017 after two low-rated seasons, but co-creator, Ryan Murphy has opened up about the possibility of bringing the series back in some form.

“So many people recently have been asking me about rebooting or continuing Scream Queens," he shared via Instagram, adding:

"Emma, Billie, Lea and I have mused on it, but question: should it be a six episode limited? A catch up movie? Who should I bring back? Would love your thoughts. So many questions….”

Based on the wording of his statement, it sounds like he wants to bring some of the fan-favorites back, and wants the fans themselves to help him decide whether it should be a movie or remain as a TV series.

Tom Cruise reportedly learning to actually fly fighter jets for Top Gun: Maverick

Despite the fact that cameras have been rolling on Top Gun: Maverick, it was announced back in August that production on the sequel to the 80s action classic would be going on hiatus, with Paramount pushing back the release of the film a year to 2020.

At the time, it was reported that the delay was to allow its cast more time for training, and if a report from The Sun is to be believed, it seems that training may involve Tom Cruise actually learning to fly fighter jets for his second outing as Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell.

“Tom is well known for doing his own stunts and the Top Gun sequel is no different,” claims The Sun’s ‘source’. “He prides himself on making the action sequences as realistic as possible… He won’t film all the flight sequences, it’s too dangerous, but he will fly some, making him the

Tom Cruise Reportedly Halts Production on Top Gun: Maverick So He Can Learn How To Fly a Fighter Jet

In typical Tom Cruise fashion, he has reportedly halted production of Top Gun: Maverick so that he could learn how to fly a fighter jet so he doesn’t have to fake it like he did in the first film.

Like he does in all of his films, he wants to perform the jet stunts himself so that he will make the stunts look as real as possible. This isn’t really surprising, after all he did learn to fly a helicopter for Mission: Impossible - Fallout. A fighter jet is a whole other beast, though!

I think Tom Cruise actually thinks that he’s death proof! Is he!? Maybe! Seriously though, how long is it going to take him to learn how to fly a fighter jet?

Top Gun: Maverick is currently shooting in San Diego with Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy) at the helm.

The sequel centers around Maverick

Need for Speed! Tom Cruise Recreates Iconic Top Gun Motorcycle Scene with Jennifer Connelly
Tom Cruise is getting back into the fast lane — and he’s got a new partner along for the ride.

The 56-year-old actor looked right at home on the back of a black motorcycle while filming a scene for Top Gun: Maverick with his costar Jennifer Connelly on Thursday.

Connelly, 47, also looked at ease on the bike, grinning as she held onto Cruise, who is reprising his iconic role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the sequel.

The scene is reminiscent of one featured in the 1986 classic in which Maverick and his love interest Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood, played by Kelly McGillis,

Top Gun 2 First Look Has Tom Cruise and Jennifer Connelly Recreating an Iconic Scene

Top Gun 2 First Look Has Tom Cruise and Jennifer Connelly Recreating an Iconic Scene
Top Gun 2: Maverick set images show Tom Cruise and Jennifer Connelly recreating the famous motorcycle scene from the first movie. It's 32 years later, and Cruise looks pretty much the same as he did in the original film while taking Connelly for a spin on Maverick's Kawasaki Ninja H2, which isn't really known for hosting passengers. Much like Maverick, that bike has the need for speed. However, the two look to be enjoying themselves in the latest set photos from the highly anticipated sequel.

Tom Cruise's Lt. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell is now a captain in Top Gun 2 as seen by the patch on his trademark bomber jacket. In addition to the jacket, Cruise is also wearing the aviator sunglasses, and truly looks remarkably similar to how he did during the filming of the first Top Gun. Jennifer Connelly is on the back of the bike, also wearing a bomber

Christopher McQuarrie Enters The Danger Zone For Top Gun: Maverick Script Rewrites

Mission: Impossible - Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie is teaming up with Tom Cruise again to help him with some script re-writes for Top Gun: Maverick. I guess the Danger Zone needs a little more danger, the kind that only Christopher McQuarrie can provide.

McQuarrie and Cruise have a long successful working relationship with each other so it doesn’t surprise me to see Cruise go to him for help. Cruise confirms with Empire, that this will be the tenth film that they’ve worked on together.

The script for the film was written by Peter Craig (12 Strong), Justin Marks (Counterpoint), and Eric Warren Singer (American Hustle). McQuarrie is helping rework parts of it that need the help.

Top Gun: Maverick is currently shooting in San Diego with Joseph Kosinski (Tron: Legacy) at the helm.

The sequel centers around Maverick who becomes a Top Gun flight instructor and Goose's son joins the program.
