and Nick Hewer
had to try stifle their laughter when Dictionary Corner guest Dave Myers
suggested a cheeky seven-letter suggestion on the daytime quiz.
The presenters chuckled after Myers revealed that his best effort in a letters game was 'todgers'.
However, it wasn't just a case of Myers being smutty. Dictionary Corner's Susie Dent
did confirm that 'todgers' was a valid Countdown word as it can be found in the dictionary.
Countdown isn't a stranger to such embarrassing moments. In a recent episode, Riley was left red-faced when an unexpected 'erection' appeared.
Meanwhile, in a 2010 episode, the letters, U, D, F, C, K and E all appeared. Thankfully, the contestants avoided the crude and obvious six-letter option, opting for the more respectable 'Caged' and 'Faced'.
There was also an awkward moment in a 2013 episode when the Countdown Conundrum round spelled out the words 'itchy semi'.
