Time’s Up Praises Accusers of Jason Mitchell for Coming Forward ‘At Great Risk to Themselves’ (Exclusive)
Anti-harassment and gender parity movement Time’s Up praised the women creatives who are accusing actor Jason Mitchell of intimidation and other abuse.

“Everyone deserves a safe, fair and dignified place to work. In this situation, and as always, we stand with the women who have come forward, at great risk to themselves, to bravely tell their stories,” a spokesperson for the group told Variety in a statement.

The actor, who was dismissed by his representation across the board and fired from the Showtime series “The Chi” and the Netflix film “Desperados” as a result of the accounts, stands accused of harassing showrunner Ayanna Floyd Davis and actress Tiffany Boone as well as multiple actresses on the “Desperados” set.

Showtime and Fox 21 Studios, which air and produce “The Chi” respectively, declined to comment on the Time’s Up statement.

The statement of support comes as one of the most vocal supporters of Time’s Up,

"The Chi" Showrunner Says ‘Everyone Was Well Aware’ of Jason Mitchell’s Behavior Before He Was Fired

Ayanna Floyd, showrunner on Season 2 of “The Chi,” has spoken out about the departure of series star Jason Mitchell, who was fired last week amid reports of inappropriate behavior.

Details about Mitchell’s alleged behavior have not been made public, but Floyd said in a statement on Tuesday that the issue of Mitchell’s behavior had been brought to the attention of creator Lena Waithe and the studio behind the show, Fox 21, even before production on the second season began.

“When I took the helm in Season 2, it was Lena who informed me of the issues between Jason Mitchell and Tiffany Boone from Season 1, and that Tiffany was thinking of leaving the show because of it,” Floyd said in a statement provided to TheWrap. “As a result of this information, I discussed Tiffany’s claims with the studio’s Hr department and set up Hr presentations for the writers, cast and crew.

Jason Mitchell Exits Netflix Film After Investigation Into Off-Set Behavior, Also Dropped by ‘The Chi’
Actor Jason Mitchell has exited Netflix movie “Desperados” following an investigation into an accusation about off-set behavior, a person familiar with the matter told TheWrap. He’s also parted ways with his agency, UTA.

Additionally, Showtime has confirmed that Mitchell will not be a part of “The Chi” Season 3. Mitchell, who played Brandon Johnson on the Lena Waithe-created series, was considered the lead of the show and this month received an MTV Movie & TV Awards nomination for Best Performance in a Show.

Showtime did not comment beyond that, but a rep for Fox 21, which produces “The Chim” said Mitchell’s option for Season 3 was not picked up. The studio had no comment or statement beyond that.

Jason Mitchell Dropped From ‘The Chi’ Season 3, Netflix Film
Jason Mitchell is being dropped from a number of his current and upcoming projects.

Variety has confirmed that the up and coming actor will not return for “The Chi’s” already announced third season, with Season 2 of the show currently airing on Showtime. In addition, Mitchell will no longer be starring in the Netflix film “Desperados,” in which he was set to star opposite Nasim Pedrad, Anna Camp, and Robbie Amell. Furthermore, Mitchell is no longer repped by UTA or Authentic Talent and Literary Management.

None involved would comment on the reason for severing ties with Mitchell. Reportedly, he was involved in an off-set incident during production on “Desperados,” leading to his dismissal from that project and subsequently from “The Chi.”

The stunning turnaround comes after Mitchell has been in high demand since his breakout role in the 2015 film “Straight Outta Compton,” in which he played Nwa member Eazy-e. Since then,

The Chi's Jason Mitchell to Exit Amid Allegations of Inappropriate Behavior
Jason Mitchell, who stars in Showtime’s The Chi, won’t return for the drama’s upcoming third season following multiple allegations of inappropriate behavior, our sister site Deadline reports.

Jason Mitchell Dropped By UTA, Authentic, ‘The Chi’ & Netflix Movie ‘Desperados’ Over Misconduct Allegations
Exclusive: Rising star actor Jason Mitchell is facing a career crisis over allegations of inappropriate behavior. The specifics are sketchy, but I hear the accusations were so serious they have led to Mitchell being dropped by his agency, UTA; management company, Authentic Talent & Literary Management; a Netflix movie he had been cast in as a lead, Desperados; and the successful Showtime drama he stars in, The Chi.

I hear the dismissal from dramedy Desperados, a Good Universe production for Netflix, came first. I hear the decision was made after the producers had received information about an alleged off-set incident. The incident was investigated immediately and thoroughly, leading to Mitchell’s termination from Desperados, in which he was to star opposite Nasim Pedrad, Anna Camp and Robbie Amell.

A rep for Good Universe confirmed Mitchell has left the movie, declining further comment.

Mitchell was also quickly fired by UTA and Authentic.

Catching up With General Hospital's Jessica Tuck (Exclusive)

Admittedly, Jessica Tuck plays a lot of moms on TV. That’s part of the reason why the invitation to portray a complicated villain like General Hospital’s Cassandra appealed to her. “It’s always more fun to play somebody that wicked!” she confided to Soaps In Depth with a laugh. “Plus, I knew that I’d be working with a really delicious lineup of Finola Hughes (Anna), James Patrick Stuart (Valentin), Michael Easton (Finn) and Michelle Stafford (Nina).” Last August, Cassandra had awakened from her coma, only to be kidnapped by someone wearing a Cassadine ring. Where has she been since? “Right now I feel like I’m in limbo; it would be fun to know who she’s with and what’s happened to her,” Tuck says. “I would be happy to continue to twist my mustache or to dive in to the other side of things!” "I

Carlos Valdes Dodges Questions About His Exit From The Flash

It didn’t take long for our report published last month saying that Carlos Valdes will be leaving The Flash following its fifth season to be met with heartfelt lamentations from the fanbase at large. After all, Cisco Ramon has been a part of the Star Labs family since the pilot episode, and I, too, would be sad to see him go. But then again, we just have to accept that many actors want to pursue other endeavors after certain periods of time pass and wish them the best of luck.

If there’s to be a positive side to what our source told us, it’s that Cisco won’t be killed off. Instead, Valdes will be written off the show in such a way that the door will be left open for possible guest shots here and there. Personally, I think he’ll take the metahuman cure before the current season wraps,

First Clip Released For Stephen and Robbie Amell's Sci-Fi Action Film Code 8

I don’t know if you remember or not, but back in 2016 Stephen Amell (Arrow) and Robbie Amell (The Flash) launched a Kickstarter for a sci-fi film called Code 8. Fast and Furious actor Sung Kang also stars in the film.

Today we have a new clip for the film called “Psyke Raid” and it features a team of police officers raiding an apartment complex and as you might expect things get out of hand. It looks like it could be a cool flick and I’m looking forward to seeing more.

Code 8 is set in a world where 4 percent of the population is born with varying supernatural abilities, but rather than be billionaires or superheroes, most "specials" face discrimination, live in poverty and often resort to crime.

That leaves Connor Reed, played by The Flash star Robbie Amell, as a powerful young man struggling to pay for his ailing mother's medical treatment.

‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ Final Season Trailer: Baudelaires, Meet Lemony Snicket (Video)

  • The Wrap
Avert your eyes unless you wish to see something truly horrible and devastating: Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the third and final season of “A Series of Unfortunate Events,” which comes out on Jan. 1, 2019.

In the preview, which should only be watched by those who for some reason want to witness something incredibly unpleasant, the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny — finally meet their (literal) maker, Lemony Snicket. Along the way, the trio will run into a bunch of familiar faces, a number of which we guess definitely aren’t dead.

Has this whole show been one long and unfortunate training session to turn the Baudelaire’s into proper and prepared V.F.D. volunteers? We’ll find out pretty shortly.

New Promo Teases What’s To Come In The Flash’s 100th Episode

Just before we get to grips with the “Elseworlds” crossover this Sunday, the Arrowverse will reach another milestone first, as The Flash celebrates its 100th ever episode. In true Central City style, the outing will feature some time-traveling shenanigans and looks to be a celebration of how far the show’s come over the past five seasons.

Episode 5×08, titled “What’s Past is Prologue,” will see Barry Allen and his daughter from the future Nora dive back into the speedster’s personal history as part of a new plan to stop big bad Cicada. As the previous promo proved, the premise is a way to give us the return of the show’s past major foes (see: Savitar, Zoom and Tom Cavanagh’s Reverse-Flash).

This new trailer for the episode (up above), though, promises even more familiar faces and nods to the past. Just for fun, it plays them all at top speed,
