‘BH90210': The Gang Returns to the Peach Pit in First Footage From ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ Revival (Video)

  • The Wrap
Fox released the first footage from the “Beverly Hills, 90210” meta revival on Thursday, showing the gang return to the Peach Pit and Tori Spelling and Brian Austin Green return to making out.

Along with Spelling (Donna Martin) and Green (David Silver) locking lips, the brief teaser for “BH90210” shows glimpses of original cast members Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh), Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh), Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor), Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders) and Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman).

The six-episode series centers on the original cast playing fictionalized versions of themselves — “with a healthy dose of irreverence” — as they try to get a revival of their old show off the ground.

Give the communications professionals a break — it’s not a very easy year to be Fox, which is way slimmed down following the Disney deal.

Beverly Hills 90210 Characters Sorted Into Their Hogwarts Houses

On Beverly Hills 90210, the sun was always shining, the waves were always crashing, and the Peach Pit was always hopping. This teen-issues-drama turned nighttime-soap-opera offered viewers a glimpse into the window of young, affluent California life and became a staple of '90s pop culture. Luke Perry’s tragic passing had a profound effect on fans of the show, who grew up watching Dylan McKay and his pals come of age, living in the world’s most famous zip code.

Right around when 90210 was ending, another pop culture phenomenon took flight: Harry Potter. Unlike the cliques of West Beverly High, those in the Potterverse weren’t determined by surfing abilities or net family income; they were determined by the Sorting Hat. This enchanted accessory delved into the depths of each student’s soul, assigning them a house - Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin - based on the student’s personality.

Luke Perry's Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star Kristy Swanson posted a photo of the two together on the movie's set to remember the fallen actor. Earlier this month, Perry passed away due to complications suffered from a major stroke, and those who knew him are still in mourning. In the photo posted on her official Twitter account, Swanson and Perry can be seen wearing novelty prop mouths over their own. The funny photo also comes with a touching caption from Swanson, where she fondly remembers her old friend and fellow Buffy movie star.

Perry died at 12:44 p.m. on March 4 at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, after being hospitalized the prior Wednesday following a massive stroke.

Charmed (2018) Season 1 Episode 14 Review: Touched By A Demon

Cue obscure 90’s pop song intro here.

Charmed (2018) Season 1 Episode 14 took a ride down memory lane, reminding us of all the reasons 90’s TV was so great, yet so gosh darn problematic.

And what a fun ride it was.

There’s nothing better than a good meta episode; the more layers, the better. Throw in some breaking of the 4th wall and you’ve basically got yourself a home run.

“Touched By A Demon” was without a doubt a home run.

The episode was a light one, with the stakes at an all-time low. That didn’t stop it from being one of the best episodes of Charmed Season 1 though, especially from a writing standpoint.

This may be an episode best watched twice, so a viewer can truly soak in all its brilliance.

Jason Priestley Posts Forlorn Tribute To Luke Perry: “Goodnight Sweet Prince”
Jason Priestley posted a heartfelt farewell today to the late Luke Perry, his Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star and the victim of a massive stroke that ended his life this week at age 52.

Even via social media, the pain lacing Priestley’s words came across as he explained his delayed response to a death that has staggered Perry’s friends, family, fans and industry collaborators. “It’s taken me a couple of days to figure out how to write this. … My dear friend of 29 years, Luke Perry, was one of those truly special people who really cared.”

Priestley and Perry portrayed pals Brandon Walsh and Dylan McKay, respectively, on Beverly Hills, 90210, though their affable screen alliance was tested by their love triangle with Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth). The pair became bad-boy heartthrobs for a generation of viewers who made the 1990-2000 show a signature success for 10 seasons and a touchstone of the 1990s.

Looking For the Original Beverly Hills, 90210? Here's Where to Watch
The ultimate '90s teen drama, Beverly Hills, 90210, has unexpectedly been in the headlines quite a bit in recent days. On Feb. 27, news broke that Fox has plans to reboot the iconic series - but with a twist. Instead of doing a straightforward revival series, or a reboot in the vein of the 2008 version on The CW, the concept is described as a very meta mockumentary, where the original cast members will play exaggerated versions of themselves trying to get a 90210 reboot off the ground.

Of course, 90210 has been in the news for another, sadder reason: the sudden passing of original star Luke Perry, who died March 4 following a massive stroke. There's been a huge outpouring of love for the 90210 and Riverdale star, as well as a wave of nostalgia for his iconic role as Dylan McKay.
