"You've been pissed on for too long/ Your rights abuse/ Your views refused," he sang.

"Where's the Revolution" will appear on Depeche Mode's upcoming album, Spirit, out March 17th. James Ford (Florence and the Machine, Arctic Monkeys) produced the record, which marks the band's first since 2013's Delta Machine.

How ‘Patti Cake$’ Director Geremy Jasper Went from Indie Rocker to Breakout Filmmaker — Sundance 2017
“Patti Cake$” has lived up to the hype. After its Eccles Theater premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on Monday afternoon, the film scored two huge standing ovations, and another for breakout star Danielle Macdonald.

Patti Cake$ just dropped a hip hop bombshell on the Eccles. This movie could be huge. #sundance pic.twitter.com/Oqf0hcZpMA

This moment was a long and winding journey for writer-director Geremy Jasper. To look at him, you would never guess his alter ego would be Patricia Dombroski (aka Patti Cake$, aka Killer P, played by Macdonald), a 23-year-old, heavy-set Jersey girl with dreams of rap stardom. Jasper is tall, extremely easygoing, and has the style of a Williamsburg creative. In his 20s, he was the front man for a popular indie rock band, The Fever, and starred in Benh Zeitlin’s breakout short, “Glory at Sea.”

Lengthy Ambitions: ‘Goldbricks In Bloom’ Director Danny Sangra Explains His Jump From Shorts to Features

Lengthy Ambitions: ‘Goldbricks In Bloom’ Director Danny Sangra Explains His Jump From Shorts to Features
Danny Sangra isn’t the first filmmaker to make the jump from commercials to feature-length films, but he makes a pretty good case for the transition. Over the past few years, Sangra has amassed an impressive library of short films in addition to advertisements that are as distinct from one another as they are emblematic of his style.

That style earned him loyal audiences online, particularly with the more discerning Vimeo crowd, the platform that released “Goldbricks In Bloom” through its VOD service. Sangra’s shorts often earn the coveted “Vimeo Staff Pick” distinction, and they partnered with OneFifty to release the film digitally, while Emerging Pictures supported a small national theatrical release.

While not quite the cinderella story of A24’s “Swiss Army Man” directors the Daniels, who also started making music videos and digital content, it’s not bad for a first feature.

Here's the Skinny on Lady Gaga's Fifth Studio Album, Joanne

It's been nearly three years since the release of Lady Gaga's last solo album, Artpop. To say that we're hungry for new music from the pop star would be a tragic understatement. And up until last month, things had been pretty quiet; Gaga hadn't really said anything about her album since she spoke about it at the Golden Globes. Then, suddenly, it was August, and she had announced her new single, "Perfect Illusion." Before we knew it, the single had dropped, and Lady Gaga followed up the release with a whole slew of new information about her fifth studio album. Don't worry, we've packaged all the information up for you, with a neat little bow. The album is called Joanne, and it has a special meaning. The title comes from Lady Gaga's late Aunt Joanne, who passed away at a young age. Gaga said the album is "all

Skrillex Announces Jack Ü Touring Hiatus

Skrillex has taken to Twitter over the weekend to reveal some bad news for Jack Ü fans following the last stop of their latest tour at the UK’s Reading Festival. In a now deleted Tweet, the producer and DJ seemed to hint at a hiatus from Jack Ü’s touring efforts. The message stated “Just did out Last jack Ü festivals of 2016 …and for a long long time. thank you for all the people who came out to support us,” leaving an indefinite time frame until the duo will hit the road again.

The ambiguous nature of the Tweet has fans speculating as to just what Skrillex meant about the future of Jack Ü shows. It may mean that Skrillex and Diplo are taking a break from performing to focus on creating new music, or if taken literally, it may simply mean that they are taking a break from playing festival shows.

Jack U Finally Unveil Their Florence And The Machine Collab

UK festival goers were the first to hear Jack Ü‘s long teased collaboration with Florence And The Machine earlier today, as the DJ duo tested the song out for its debut appearance in a live set. The collab was originally announced back in March, and fans have waited patiently for the first audio sample to surface ever since.

Skrillex and Diplo opted to give the upcoming ID its inaugural play at Reading Festival this week, and one fortuitous fan captured a rip of the audio for the rest of us to enjoy. After an introduction from Diplo, a gentle backing track fills the speakers joined by Florence Welch’s powerful singing. After a vocal driven verse, the song moves into the drops, which feature crashing percussion, bell melodies and rhythmic future bass chords.

There’s still no release date for the Jack Ü/Florence And The Machine collab, but

Adele's Favorite Breakup Songs Aren't Her Own, but They'll Still Make You Cry

  • BuzzSugar
It would be hard to find someone who hasn't listened (and cried) to Adele's music when they're going through a split, but it turns out that the certified queen of breakup tunes (aside from, like, Kelly Clarkson) doesn't blast her own work when she's grieving the end of a relationship. As she explained to People, she does "mope around for a little while," adding, "I do embrace the fact that I'm heartbroken. I don't move on quickly. I don't know if that's because it seems that I'm only really creative when I'm a bit momentarily depressed." During this routine, she listens to emotional tunes from Etta James and Bonnie Raitt, as well as fellow Brits Mumford & Sons, Florence and the Machine, and David Gray. Check out her expert picks below.
