Movie Review – Justice League vs. The Fatal Five (2019)

Justice League vs The Fatal Five, 2019.

Directed by Sam Liu.

Featuring the voice talents of Kevin Conroy, Diane Guerrero, Kevin Michael Richardson, Susan Eisenberg, George Newman, Daniela Bobadilla.

Synopsis:

A group of supervillains and a lone hero from the future are hurled back to the present day where the Justice League must figure out what The Fatal Five are planning, and how a new Green Lantern fits into the puzzle.

Recently, DC have been pushing their animated feature films with a little more vigour and creativity. While their shared universe of films continues to flourish, they’ve also started dishing out healthy doses of nostalgia by embracing the animated style of their earlier animated television shows from the 1990s. Justice League vs. The Fatal Five is another one of these releases after 2017’s Batman and Harley Quinn. The introduction flings us right into the middle of the action as an

Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five Blu-Ray Review

If any DC-themed animated movie to drop in 2019 offers the best of both worlds, it has to be Justice League vs. The Fatal Five. The reason I say that is because while it does chart new territory that I’ll detail momentarily, it’s a love letter to those of us who adored the sheer perfection that was Justice League Unlimited. Believe it or not, even the film’s score mirrors what we once heard from the beloved animated series. Rest assured that you’ll feel right at home as soon as you hear a well-placed electric guitar accompany Superman’s first display of heroics.

Right now, I’m guessing that you’re champing at the bit to ask me if indeed this flick is in continuity with Jlu, as opposed to Batman and Harley Quinn, which really only shared visual similarities with The New Batman Adventures.

Well, if

Justice League vs. The Fatal Five Review

Justice League vs. The Fatal Five is a reunion of talent and style that bridges the old and the new.

Nearly 27 years after the Bruce Timm-developed DC Animated Universe began in 1992 with Batman: The Animated Series, and 13 after it ended in 2006 with Justice League Unlimited, the so-called Timm-verse is … well, not quite back. Yet the new animated film Justice League vs. The Fatal Five is a reunion of talent, and style, but with a new class of heroes joining the iconic characters (and the actors who voiced them) for a largely satisfying adventure.

Executive produced by Timm, the film reunites Kevin Conroy, Susan Eisenberg, and George Newbern to voice, respectively, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman – roles for which their performances are definitive. Visually the movie also looks like the Justice League Unlimited animation style, complete with character Easter eggs that call back to heroes (and a couple Arkham

Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five Astounds With Its First Trailer

It wasn’t that long ago when I admitted how Justice League vs. The Fatal Five‘s initial announcement didn’t exactly inspire much excitement within me, perhaps because 2019 will finally see Batman: Hush adapted to an animated film. But once we began learning more about the project and the “sneak peek” featurette found its way online, my interest level rose exponentially.

To succinctly describe why I care so much – and why you should as well – I need only say that this particular flick will serve as a spiritual successor of sorts to Justice League Unlimited, which I believe to be the best animated superhero series ever made. I mean, not only does it reunite Kevin Conroy (Batman), George Newbern (Superman) and Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman) as the Trinity, but it also brings back the same character models Bruce Timm whipped up for the aforementioned TV show.

Of course, we

First Look At Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five Revealed With New Video

When Justice League vs. The Fatal Five was first announced as being part of DC’s 2019 animated movie slate at last summer’s San Diego Comic-Con, I admittedly wasn’t as excited for it as other gestating projects because it’d sort of been overshadowed by other things such as the long-awaited Batman: Hush adaptation. But now that more details are making their way online, my interest grows exponentially.

If you’re wondering why you should also be swayed, the first thing you need to know is that this picture won’t merely be another sequel to Justice League: War. Enjoyable as (most) of those New 52-inspired flicks have proven to be, there’s something so satisfying to learn that we’re now getting a spiritual followup to the beloved Justice League Unlimited animated series because, as you may have read a few weeks ago, Kevin Conroy, George Newbern and

Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five Voice Cast Revealed

Even though Reign of the Supermen‘s home video release is still a few weeks away, 2019 is already shaping up to be one heck of a year for DC animated movies. After all, not only will it bring us the long awaited Batman: Hush adaptation, but we also have an original tale in the form of Wonder Woman: Bloodlines to anticipate.

Actually, there’s another one in the mix which we should all look forward to, that being Justice League vs. The Fatal Five. Set to be the second quarter release in the line, it was first announced at last summer’s San Diego Comic-Con. At the time, we all assumed it to be part of the New 52 inspired continuity of flicks, but it’s turned out to be something else that’ll satisfy longtime fans of the brand.

You see, a triumvirate of beloved voice actors will reprise their

Movie Review – Face 2 Face (2016)

Face 2 Face, 2016.

Directed by Matthew Toronto.

Starring Daniela Bobadilla and Daniel Amerman.

Synopsis:

Over a series of video chats, a teenage outcast reaches out to his childhood friend, but finds that behind the veneer of popularity and a seemingly perfect life, she hides a disturbing secret.

In sophomore year of high school, I took a course called “history through film” which consisted of watching historical movies for the purposes of learning about the past. One of these was the underrated Al Pacino film Revolution, which ends with Pacino and his son parting ways following the conclusion of the American Revolutionary War. When one of the students asked the teacher why they were acting like they would never see each other again, the teacher responded that it would be near-impossible for them to get back in touch without modern-day technology.

At the time she was only talking about texting and calling,

Lisa Rinna Returns to Scripted Television in ABC's The Middle — Find Out Who She's Playing!
Lisa Rinna is back on the small screen — only this time, she’s not feuding with her Real Housewives costars over scandalous accusations.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fixture is set to guest-star in this week’s episode of The Middle, and if People’s exclusive sneak peek is any indication, she hasn’t lost her acting chops since her time on Days of Our Lives.

On Tuesday’s episode of the ABC sitcom, viewers will be introduced to Rinna’s character Tammy Brooks, the charming (and filthy rich) mother to Lexie (recurring guest star Daniela Bobadilla) — Axl’s girlfriend and Sue’s roommate.
