- IMDb Mini Biography By: E. Faxas

Eileen Faxas is an American actor and writer born of Cuban parents. She sort of grew up in Miami, but technically, it was dry land immediately adjacent to the Florida Everglades. (Yes, there were alligators. Many alligators.) After graduating from the University of Miami with majors in Broadcast Journalism and Music, Eileen became a television journalist, winning industry acclaim and honors for her reporting, including three Emmy Awards. She then transitioned into acting, going on tour with Broadway's Mamma Mia! and playing leading roles on stages from Paris to New York to San Diego. Equally at home on stage or on set, Eileen has acted on TV shows and commercials in both English & Spanish. Her big screen debut came when Director Jason Reitman personally selected her for a role in the film Labor Day. In a case of art imitating life, Eileen was tapped to play a part she knows well...newswoman.
