Kerry's first professional stage role was in Oliver! at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. She then went on to play the lead role of Matilda Wormwood in Matilda, a Musical in Stratford Upon Avon's Courtyard Theatre. The show was a success and It then transferred to West End and Kerry was the only original Matilda to transfer. Kerry won an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for the role. She then went on to film a small part in the film adaptation of the musical Les Miserables, however, her role was cut from the final edit. In June 2012, she announced for the role of Shireen Baratheon in HBO'S Game of Thrones and has since filmed the 3rd 4th and 5th season.

Other works include playing the queen of years for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary proms where Ingram sang 'The rings of akhaten' along side Alan Clayton at the royal Albert hall July 2013 and has recently announced playing a small role in the new BBC adaptation of Wolf Hall starring Mark Rylance, Damien Lewis and Thomas Brodie-Sangster which is to air in 2015.

Has a younger sister called Rachel.
Attended Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead from September 2011 to June 2013.
Appeared in her first amateur production at age 9 and first professional production at age 10.
Kerry joined Hurst Lodge School In September 2013 and is currently studying for iGCSE's and hopes to attend university in the future.
Kerry suffers from Osteogenesis Imperfecta. A rare condition causing Ingram to on the rare occasion use a wheelchair. She goes into hospital every 4 months to have periodic infusions over a course of 4 hours.
Won a Lawrence Olivier award for best actress in a musical.
Has a younger brother called Francis.
Kirsty Mitchell portrayed her mother in the limited series Barbarians Rising (2016) and Emilia Clarke's mother in the TV movie Triassic Attack (2010); both of whom appear in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2011).
