Alec Bojalad Mar 2, 2019

A Night with A.P. Bio: A Charity Comedy Show will raise funds for a Toledo-based nonprofit, Partners for Education.

A.P. Bio's disgraced Harvard professor turned Ohio high school teacher Jack Griffin may not be particularly charitable. But that doesn't mean the show can't be.

The folks behind NBC's A.P. Bio are hosting "A Night with A.P. Bio: A Charity Comedy Show" on March 5 to raise funds for the Toledo, Ohio-based nonprofit, Partners for Education. Partners for Education is an organization dedicated to providing students, schools and partners with the best programs and services available. A.P. Bio is, of course, set in the fictional Whitlock High School in Toledo, the hometown of A.P. Bio creator Mike O'Brien (and also Tony Packo’s pickles and a neat glass museum).

Exclusive Interview: Director Sanjeev Sirpal and composer Bryce Jacobs discuss their collaboration on Random Tropical Paradise

As La La Land reminded us this year, every movie needs to have a good score or theme. Without it, a movie just doesn’t feel complete. Prime examples being Rocky without Bill Conti’s motivating ‘Gonna Fly Now’ theme or Hans Zimmer’s whole Inception score for that matter. They would just be completely different films. Continuing the conversation of importance a score has on a film in today’s market, we decided to speak with writer/director Sanjeev Sirpal and composer Bryce Jacobs and discuss their collaboration on the upcoming film, Random Tropical Paradise which is being released in theaters & VOD June 9th and stars Bryan Greenberg (The Mindy Project), Brooks Wheelan (Saturday Night Live), Spencer Grammer, Jessica Lowe and Joe Pantoliano. 'Homie-Moon' Craziness in Official 'Random Tropical Paradise' Trailer

"We're in a Fast & Furious movie right now, nothing has to make sense." Gunpowder & Sky has debuted a trailer for a wacky comedy called Random Tropical Paradise, about two friends who end up going on a honeymoon together. The story is that, when one guy discovers his soon-to-be-wife is cheating on him, he cancels the wedding. But his friend suggests that instead of cancelling the honeymoon, they turn it into a "homie-moon" and take the trip to this random tropical paradise together and have fun while they can. As with all tropical paradise movies, this dips into the drug boss trope and there's clearly a few drug trip scenes in this. Starring Bryan Greenberg, Brooks Wheelan, Joe Pantoliano, Spencer Grammer, Brittany Furlan, Beth Littleford, Kyle Kinane, & Alphonso McAuley. This looks a bit too crazy for my tastes. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Sanjeev Sirpal's Random Tropical Paradise, from YouTube: For Harry Fluder,

Big Hero 6 The Animated Series Coming Next Year

  • Cinelinx
Big Hero 6 is coming back as an animated series on Disney Xd. Come check this out for what we know so far.

Now when I wrote about the first teaser for Big Hero 6 the movie I was very pleased with the concept. Taking a little known Marvel comic and giving it a fresh look on screen was awesome. And it did real well with the fans proving that it was a good gamble. Back in November we were informed the film would get a sequel dubbed Big Hero 7 aimed at 2017 to 2019 for a release. But before that the 6 heroes will debut on the small screen as a Disney Xd show Big Hero 6 The Series debuting in Fall of 2017.

Now we don’t have much except the above teaser but what we do have is our cast for the show. Ryan Potter will reprise his role as Hiro Hamada,
