Dean Weir was born in Craigavon, Northern Ireland UK and grew up in Portadown. During his adolescent years he was schooled at both Clounagh and Craigavon Senior High School. Dean has always been a naturally highly energetic character and liked to get involved with many extracurricular activities growing up, including athletics and developing a strong passion for going to the GYM and Martial Arts in which he became very competitive and learned a lot about the disciplines of life. Throughout his teenage years he won quite a few respectable titles, including third in the world in the Tae Kwon Do World Championships at 16 years old to winning numerous top three trophies in Junior Bodybuilding Competitions throughout Northern Ireland.

In his late teenage years Dean worked as a contractor for the local Housing Executive as an apprentice Joiner before deciding to pursue his life long dream of becoming an Actor at age 22. He began studying a BTEC Extended National Diploma in Performing Arts at Southern Regional College Armagh for two years before moving to High Wycombe England for a further three at Buckinghamshire University, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts.

Enthusiastic to gain experience on a film set, not to mention a good means to support himself financially, Dean during his student years sought work as a Supporting Artist and has since been gaining experience on a multitude of recorded media and genres making appearances and carrying out some Stand In work and Doubling work in some of the biggest blockbusters in the industry. Having gained a liking for the Industry after a few years of work he has decided to start focusing on stronger positions in which he made featured appearances in - 'The 1975 - Somebody Else' (Official Video) (2016), 'James Blunt Anonymous' Advert (2017) and 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Take Away Missing Crown Jewels' (2017).

In September 2017 Dean auditioned and won a place at Identity Drama School IDSA, The United Kingdom's leading and double award winning part time Drama School. Outside of his training hours Dean is now focusing on applications to Leading Roles in Amateur Films to gain as much experience as possible. So far he has done a few including University Film 'Beards' multi-rolling as the Santa Claus, the Pirate and the Boyfriend (2018), University Film 'Zach DeFranco's Killer Blog' as the Police Officer (2018), a Masters Degree Film 'A Diamond in the Rust' as Peter (2018) and an Independent Feature Film 'The Best Years' as David (2019) which will be filming in early 2019.

To support himself and fund his studies Dean currently works at a local Premier Inn as a Night-Shift Receptionist allowing him to favor his acting work most days of the week. The remainder of 2018 will see Dean into his next year at IDSA Drama School and also the beginning of his Master's Degree studies in Screen performance.
