‘House of Lexi’ Short Film Review

House of Lexi begins with a panoramic scan along a beautiful beach, the slow low-key score mimicking the smoothness of the camera. I loved this opening. It was calm, it was intriguing and it peaked my curiosity. The plot, without giving you too many details, follows Lexi Stone, a woman who finds herself haunted by her own past. Having lost her mother in a car accident and her baby sister at birth, Lexi see’s her sister with her, growing up alongside her, but starts to become haunted by her presence, and in turn question everything that is going on around her. It’s a very interesting premise and one I thought was conceptually original considering the simplicity of the plot at its most basic form. It was done well, and the management

First look at horror short ‘House of Lexi’

House of Lexi is a psychological short horror film from writer/director M W Daniels (whose previous short Being Without debuted last year) and features English horror actress Emma Dark in the titular role.

Shot on location in London and Tankerton Beach, House of Lexi follows the story of Lexi Stone who supposedly lost her mother in a car crash and her mother also lost her baby sister at birth. Lexi imagines her sister growing up and wants to be there for her but the emotional bond turns and starts to haunt and makes her question whats happening to her.

House of Lexi also stars Jane Garda, Sean Francis McLaughlin and Helen Stephens. Check out the poster and first image from the film below:
