In 2018, noted film critic film, Thelma Adams, wrote that Rosalyn's performances in the award-winning short films Minority and Last Day reminded her of her first meetings with America Ferrara and Alicia Braga and how she knew "they had a spark that couldn't be extinguished."

She grew up in her hometown of Memphis, TN playing flute in marching band and concert orchestra and singing in her church choir. By the time she was selected to be a vocalist with the renowned Fisk Jubilee Singers®, her freshmen year at Fisk University, she was well on her way to her commitment to living her passion for the arts out loud.

Rosalyn is also a certified yoga instructor and, since losing her mom to cancer in 2013, has helped cancer survivors and their families use their yoga practices as an extension of their recovery and healing.
