My Little Pony Trots To New Release Date; Michael Pena, Uzo Aduba Circling Roles

Lionsgate has reshuffled its release slate today, nailing down new due dates for Woody Allen’s Cafe Society and the upcoming My Little Pony movie.

Set for limited release on July 15, Allen’s latest – one that stars Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart – will then expand on July 22 before going nationwide the following week, July 29. My Little Pony, on the other hand, has placed the crosshairs on an October 6, 2017 release, when it’ll open against Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment’s long-gestating sequel, Blade Runner 2.

With Edge of Tomorrow star Emily Blunt and Kristin Chenoweth already bound for Equestria, The Hollywood Reporter brings word today that Michael Pena (End of Watch, Ant-Man) and Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black) have opened talks to step into the voice booth.
