Zack Snyder has signed on to direct Netflix’s zombie horror heist ‘Army of the Dead’; making it his first movie back since bowing out of ‘Justice League’.

The film, which Netflix rescued from the clutches of Warner Bros, is set during a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas. A man assembles a group of mercenaries to take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantined zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.

Snyder will direct and produce the project alongside his wife Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller. ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’ scribe Joby Harold will pen the script.

It would appear the streaming service is giving Snyder free reign with the picture, Snyder told The Hollywood Reporter that the handcuffs are off.

“No one’s ever let me completely loose, There are no handcuffs on me at all with this one,”
