‘Dawson’s Creek’ reunion at the Emmys? Michelle Williams, James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson have shows in contention

We’ve come a long way since Capeside. The WB’s teen soap opera “Dawson’s Creek” never got the time of day from the Emmys, but it made stars of its actors, so much so that several of them have shows in contention 20 years later. Could Michelle Williams, James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson all get their first nominations this summer?

Williams is probably the most likely of the three to earn a bid, and she’s arguably the show’s most successful alum. After playing the troubled Jen Lindley on “Dawson’s Creek” she embarked on a movie career that has resulted in four Oscar nominations so far, for “Brokeback Mountain” (2005), “Blue Valentine” (2010), “My Week with Marilyn” (2011) and “Manchester by the Sea” (2016).
