The production house, Y Not Studios, have now given out a press statement confirming that there is no truth whatsoever about the remake and also requested media to refrain from spreading it. Earlier, there were rumors about this film being remade in Telugu with N Balakrishna and Dr Rajasekar in the lead roles. The press statement from the production house reads, “Ynot officially announces that all news related to Sri. Nandamuri Balakrishna
and Dr Rajasekhar playing the lead in the Telugu remake of our 2017 blockbuster Tamil Film Vikram Vedha being circulated on mainstream print and online media are absolutely false and are classified as baseless rumours.
