Present-Day Adaptation of Classic Musical Oklahoma! Being Adapted into Series for TV

Skydance Television has announced they have partnered with the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization and Concord to bring us a reboot of the longtime acclaimed Broadway musical and classic movie, Oklahoma!, but this time is will be a present day TV adaptation of the show. The series will be co-written and co-directed by John Lee Hancock, known for writing and directing The Blind Side, and for directing Saving Mr. Banks and The Founder with co-writer Bekah Brunstetter.

Senior Vice President of Skydance Television, Bill Bost will oversee production, and President of Skydance, Marcy Ross, had this to say about the project:
