‘Slow Burn’ Podcast: Season 3 Will Cover Biggie/Tupac Murders — With a New Host
After two seasons of charting infamous presidential sagas, the hit podcast “Slow Burn” is turning its attention to the world of music. Slate announced on Wednesday that Season 3 would be the latest piece of entertainment to focus on the circumstances surrounding the deaths of legendary artists Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G.

Along with this reveal comes the introduction of a new host: incoming Slate staff writer Joel Anderson, who joins the site from ESPN, where his coverage centered on stories and issues within and connected to the world of college sports. Prior to ESPN, Anderson worked on both the national and investigative reporting teams at BuzzFeed, where he also charted the interaction between sports and culture at large.

“The first two seasons of Slow Burn went deep on big historical moments, and I’ve always wanted the opportunity to tell stories that way,” Anderson said of the new position.
