Mel Gibson Looking to Cast Peter Dinklage, Jamie Foxx, and Michael Fassbender in The Wild Bunch Remake

Last year it was announced that Mel Gibson would write and direct a remake of the classic 1969 Sam Peckinpah-directed western The Wild Bunch.

According to Deadline, Gibson is looking to bring in an all-star cast for the film, and as of right now he is looking to cast Michael Fassbender, Jamie Foxx, and Peter Dinklage. They actors are currently in early talks to join the contemporary remake of the the film.

I’m a big fan of the original film, which followed an aging group of outlaws who are looking for one last big score “as the traditional American West is disappearing around them and the industrial age is taking over. They are pursued by a posse led by a former partner they double crossed.”

The original film was considered to be extremely violent back in the day but is now considered a cinema masterpiece. The movie starred Wiliam Holden,
