‘Tales Of The City’ Trailer: Netflix Brings Back Laura Linney For New Stories At 28 Barbary Lane

Laura Linney is one of the most respected actors of the last couple of decades. She’s probably best known for her roles in films like “Primal Fear,” “The Truman Show,” “Mystic River,” and “Kinsey,” among others. However, one of her first roles is being revisited on Netflix, in the new series “Tales of the City.”

Back in 1993, Linney starred as Mary Ann Singleton in the first adaptation of author Armistead Maupin’s famous novel series “Tales of the City.” The story followed Mary Ann and the residents of 28 Barbary Lane, in San Francisco, as they deal with everything life throws at them, while also exploring issues of sexuality and race.
