Daniel Craig's recent on-set injury may have been more serious than we previously thought, though it's not expected to delay the release of James Bond 25 any further. We learned a little over a week ago that the 51-year-old face of the franchise took a bit of an awkward tumble while filming a scene on the latest installment in Jamaica. It resulted in an injury to his ankle and now, we have word that injury is going to require surgery.

Previously, we were mostly relying on injury updates from tabloids. The production had yet to provide any updates, nor actually confirm the injury, until now. The update was posted to the official James Bond Twitter account, revealing that Daniel Craig will be getting "minor" surgery on his ankle. Production will continue while Craig recovers which, according to the update, will spare any delays to the previously revealed release date. The update reads as follows.
