‘Counting On’ Grandmother Mary Duggar Died by ‘Accidental Drowning,’ Coroner Says

“Counting On” grandmother Mary Duggar died from “accidental drowning,” Washington County, Arkansas Coroner Roger Morris told TheWrap.

“It appears that she slipped and fell in the pool,” Morris said, adding that a 911 call was placed at 4:37 p.m. on Sunday reporting a woman unconscious in Springdale, Arkansas, where Duggar lived. He also told TheWrap that emergency responders pronounced Duggar dead at the scene.

According to USA Today, Duggar was at her home at the time of her death.

Mary Duggar died Sunday at 78, shortly after returning home from Church, according to the family, who announced her death in a statement on their Facebook page later that day.
