‘Empire’ Star Bryshere Gray Arrested on Traffic-Related Charge in Chicago
Empire” star Bryshere Gray was arrested on a traffic-related charge in Chicago, a representative for the Chicago Police Department told TheWrap Monday.

Gray — who plays Hakeem, the younger brother of Jussie Smollett’s character, Jamal, on the Fox hip-hop drama — was pulled over by police last Thursday for a “registration issue” in which his license plate didn’t match the Rolls-Royce he was driving, the spokesperson told TheWrap.

According to the representative, the actor was not in possession of a driver’s license — though he told officers he does have one, but it was not on him at the time — and did not have insurance on the vehicle.

Gray was arrested on one misdemeanor registration charge and received two traffic citations, one for an uninsured motor vehicle and the other for failing to have a driver’s license.
