‘Game of Thrones’ Actors Gwendoline Christie, Alfie Allen and Carice Van Houten Submitted Themselves for Emmys
Game of Thrones” actors Gwendoline Christie, Alfie Allen and Carice Van Houten each had to submit themselves for Emmy nominations, as HBO and the show producers did not, a person with knowledge of the process told TheWrap.

Christie plays Brienne of Tarth, Allen plays Theon Greyjoy and Van Houten plays Melisandre.

Networks and shows worry that multiple submissions in the same category will essentially “cancel out” their candidates.
