‘Chicago’: Jon Seda, Colin Donnell & Norma Kuhling Exit NBC Drama Franchise
Exclusive: After seven years on Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Justice, star Jon Seda is exiting the popular NBC drama franchise. Also departing are Chicago Med co-stars Colin Donnell and Norma Kuhling. All three are leaving as series regulars. As is always the case with the Dick Wolf TV universe, they could return for guest appearances. All three Chicago series have been renewed for next season.

According to sources, the cast departures stem from creative reasons related to the characters’ story evolution.

Seda, who plays Detective Antonio Dawson, was one of the original stars of Chicago P.D. He started off as a recurring on the mothership Chicago Fire before he and Jason Beghe were spun off to anchor spinoff Chicago P.D. as the leads. Seda left Chicago P.D. midway through Season 4 to join new legal drama spinoff Chicago Justice. He returned to Chicago P.D.

‘Star Trek: Discovery’: Season 2’s Game-Changing Twist Sets Up a Crazy Fresh Plan for Season 3
[Editor’s note: The following article contains spoilers for “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 2 Episode 14, “Such Sweet Sorry, Part 2.”]

Many words could be used to describe the Season 2 finale of “Star Trek: Discovery.” One of them is not “quiet.” Picking up after last week’s cliffhanger ending, writers Michelle Paradise, Jenny Lumet, and Alex Kurtzman, along with director Olatunde Osunsanmi, pack the episode with intense action, as the crews of the Enterprise and Discovery work together (with the help of some surprise friends) to keep a massive stockpile of data away from the evil artificial intelligence known as Control (personified by Alan van Sprang).

From the frantic assembly of Burnham’s (Sonequa Martin-Green) time suit, to the epic space battle between the Enterprise, Discovery, and Control’s ships, to the impressive hand-to-hand, gravity-challenged fight between Control, Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh), and security officer Commander Nhan (Rachael Ancheril), there’s plenty of excitement packed into the episode, all topped off by “Discovery

Adam Lambert Back to ‘Idol’ to Mentor Finalists Through Queen’s Catalog

Adam Lambert Back to ‘Idol’ to Mentor Finalists Through Queen’s Catalog
Adam Lambert famously launched his career on “American Idol” a decade ago performing a brilliant audition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” He wrapped that amazing eighth season performing with the band on the season finale, and years later earned his current spot as the front man touring as Queen + Adam Lambert.

On April 28, Lambert comes full circle as he steps into the mentor role guiding the top eight “Idol” finalists as they each perform a song from the Queen catalog.

Viewers will get a bonus dose of Lambert, as on May 19 as he is set to perform on the season finale of the ABC show.

‘Star Trek: Discovery’: How Tig Notaro Best Embodied Starfleet’s Values in Season 2

‘Star Trek: Discovery’: How Tig Notaro Best Embodied Starfleet’s Values in Season 2
[Editor’s note: The following contains mild spoilers for “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 2 Episode 14, “Such Sweet Sorry, Part 2.”]

Star Trek” has a history of bringing in unexpected stars, all drawn to the franchise by their passion for the source material. And with the latest iteration, “Star Trek: Discovery,” that tradition has continued in a number of respects, but none more interesting than the casting of Tig Notaro as engineer Jett Reno, introduced in the first episode of Season 2 and who proved to be a delightful presence over the course of the following episodes.

Notaro is best known as a stand-up comic whose riffs on her cancer battle and pop culture ephemera eventually led to the critically-acclaimed Amazon series “One Mississippi,” which ran for two seasons before its unfortunate cancelation. Her low-key but raw and honest work in “One Mississippi” was not one that might obviously lead to an appearance on the newest edition of the sci-fi icon, but she

Live+3 Ratings for Week of April 8: Ncaa Championship Game Dunks on Competition

The final of the 2019 Ncaa basketball tournament, in which Virginia triumphed over a spirited Texas Tech team, unsurprisingly finished way out in front in the Live+3 ratings for the week of April 8.

Although the sports broadcast’s scripted competition made some gains, its 5.4 ratings still more than doubled that of “Grey’s Anatomy” in second place.

The ABC show saw a 60% bump in the Live+3 ratings, going from a 1.5 to a 2.4, and a 34% increase in total viewership. “Grey’s” also delivered the biggest actual increase in rating.

In terms of total viewership, the Ncaa championship game led by some distance at just under 20 million viewers,

‘Bosch’ Review: Amazon’s Cop Drama Remains True Blue Even as It Probes Into Moral Greyness in Season 5

“Bosch” is back and as addictive as ever, showing why it’s Amazon’s oldest continuing original drama despite a call for new blood. As the streaming service is working hard to freshen its programming with big tentpoles like “Jack Ryan” or the upcoming “Good Omens” and “Lord of the Rings,” it always returns to the reliable, meticulous charms of Det. Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch (Titus Welliver).

In its fifth season, “Bosch” once again proves how delving into the everyday drudgery of police work and unspooling cases in an unhurried, unglamorous way can be even more effective than the splashier storytelling on its network counterparts. The series jumps forward about a year after the shocking events of Season 4, when Bosch witnesses his ex-wife Eleanor’s (Sarah Clarke) murder in a drive-by shooting. Grief and anger are mostly in the rearview as Bosch and his undergrad daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz) are now

WarnerMedia Pulls Out of Audience-Targeting Alliance Open A.P.

WarnerMedia is going its own way when it comes to helping advertisers find specific groups of TV-watchers.

The company, a founding member of the audience-targeting media alliance known as Open A.P., said Friday it would withdraw from the group, citing its desire to pursue its own strategy under owner At&T. At&T purchased Time Warner in June for more than $80 billion, and the company has its own unit devoted to providing data to marketers that helps them narrowly target audience segments.

“As our company has transformed, our advanced advertising strategy has evolved. As a result, we are withdrawing from Open A.
