ITV 50 Greatest Shows (2005 TV Special)
ITV: 50 Greatest Shows
28 March 2006
Warning: Spoilers
For me this was a very good way to celebrate the 50th birthday of Channel 3, ITV. Cat Deeley and Phillip Schofield hosted an evening to find the greatest ITV programme out of the 50 years of broadcast. It included contributions by known ITV fans and workers, including: Peter Andre, Michael Apted, Tony Blackburn, Cilla Black, Honor Blackman, Fern Britton, Paul Burrell, Todd Carty, Nicki Chapman, Simon Cowell, Angus Deayton, Les Dennis, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, Christopher Eccleston, Neil Fox, Kermit the Frog, Sir David Jason, Lorraine Kelly, Matthew Kelly, Martin Kemp, Patsy Kensit, Sally Lindsay, Patrick Macnee, Art Malik, Davina McCall, Sir Trevor McDonald, Dame Helen Mirren, Sheree Murphy, Al Murray, Denis Norden, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Michael Parkinson, Nicholas Parsons, Joe Pasquale, Tim Pigott-Smith, Fay Ripley, Jerry Springer, Chris Tarrant, Bradley Walsh and Dale Winton. Shows included Family Fortunes, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Heartbeat, I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, Emmerdale, Inspector Morse, A Touch of Frost, Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, and deserved number 1, Coronation Street. Very good!
