A Muddy Romance (1913)
- Summaries (2)
Two rivals for Mabel's hand play a series of dirty tricks on each other. Finally, one of them gets Mabel alone and is about to marry her, but his rival comes up with a strange scheme to stop them. Soon the Keystone Kops arrive on the scene, and chaos quickly ensues.
Mabel has two sweethearts, and is undecided which one she will marry. One accidentally slaps Mabel in the eye with a huckleberry pie, so she runs off with the other fellow, and is pursued by the defeated swain. Dragging a minister with them into a boat, the couple decide to get married on the lake, where they cannot be disturbed. The defeated rival, arriving at the lakeside, gets even by turning off the water and draining the lake. To rescue the minister and the married couple, a life-saving crew has to drag them through the mud that is over their shoulders.
