While the jury is considering their verdict Thelma is seen being held in prison, which is across the street from the court. With the jury ready to give their verdict Thelma is walked over the road to the court with no handcuffs on. All the ground floor windows and the doorway of the prison unrealistically have awnings over them making it look more like a hotel.
