CBS shuffles its Star Trek: Discovery schedule

Riding high off the early success of the new series, CBS has announced a slight shuffle to its Star Trek: Discovery schedule.

Originally, the plan was for eight episodes to air through to November, leading into a midseason break through to January, at which point the final seven episodes would get underway. However, we’ll now be getting nine episodes in the first half of the season, with the final six being held back until after the break.

Star Trek: Discovery is proving to be a big hit for CBS, with the network announcing that it has surpassed expectations with regards to CBS All Access subscribers, with the streaming service’s numbers up 200% since Discovery’s premiere last month.

Kriti Kharbanda will be seen in Deol trio’s third instalment of Yamla Pagla Deewana!

‘Baahubali: The Lost Legends’ Animated Series Coming!

The highest grossing film ever in the history of Indian cinema is now set to make its television debut as an animated series. Riding high on the success of the Baahubali franchise, India’s leading entertainment channel Colors announced the acquisition of the broadcast satellite rights to the animated series spin-off called, Baahubali: The Lost Legends. The winding tale of Justice League Dark continues. This is one movie that can’t seem to catch a break or gain any momentum. For the longest time, fan favorite filmmaker Guillermo del Toro was attached to bring the project to the big screen. However, like with many of del Toro’s projects in the past, he ultimately had to drop out. Stepping in to take his place was Doug Liman, who hopped on over from the long-gestating Gambit standalone flick.
