A con-man,Wayne Cravat (Mark Stevens) and a phony Egyptian princess, from New Jersey, calling herself Izora (Rhonda Feming), against the backdrop of the Chicago Esposition of 1893, do their cunning best to con Chicago tobacco tycoon Cyrus Graydon (Minor Watson) out of a million dollars. During their machinations, Izora agrees to put on a demonstration of "ancient Egyptian ceremonial dances, to help attract customers to the fair.
